SNOW ALERT for the Cornwall Ontario Area – NOV 26, 2018

Cornwall Ontario –  Over 10cm of Snow are expected to fall starting overnight with more expected for Tuesday!

Depending on the temps expect rain, freezing rain, and snow during this period.

Driving conditions will be severe.  Give yourself lots of extra time if you can’t avoid heading out.

Expect bus cancellations.

Special weather statement in effect for:

  • Cornwall – Lancaster
  • Maxville – Alexandria
  • Morrisburg – Long Sault
  • Winchester – Newington

Significant snowfall likely tonight into Tuesday.

A low pressure system from the Southern Plains States will bring accumulating snow to Eastern Ontario tonight and Tuesday.

Rain or a mix of rain and wet snow is expected to turn over to snow tonight and continue Tuesday with near 10 cm of snow expected by Tuesday evening.

This snowfall may have an impact on the Tuesday morning commute to work. Motorists should be prepared for poor winter driving conditions as untreated roads may become snow covered and slippery.

    Jeez, you’d think this was a once in a decade event the way it’s broadcast as the beginning of the end every time it happens!!

    I’m betting the little snowflakes will have another “snow day!!”
