How Many Conservatives Does it Take to Float a Layton for Toronto Mayor Rumor? January 3, 2010

I had the opportunity to Interview Jack Layton in 2009.   I have to tell you he’s a heck of a guy and a lot more engaging one on one than he can on the public stage.

I think he’s the kind of guy that would be successful at whatever he chose to do in life.

LINK The story in the link is one that suggests that Jack may be a good fit as Toronto mayor.   I have a hunch he’d make a super mayor as he was a city councilor there for years.

“If Jack Layton was preparing his resume, it wouldn’t be too hard to spin a self-complimentary paragraph about his leadership of the federal New Democrats. “Took over party that won 13 seats and 8.5% of the popular vote in the 2000 election, built it to 37 seats and more than 18% in 2008.”

However I think he’d prefer to be PM of Canada or even Leader of the Official opposition and the way the polls and numbers are playing out he may just have a shot at one of those positions if an election is called in the spring.

What do you think?

Sorry to disagree…..he’s not very good at what he’s doing right now! As the mayor of Toronto, they’d have to get rid of him because he’d give everything away to the workers at taxpayers expense!
