Cornwall ON – On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month we here in Canada and many other countries of the world pay homage and tribute, remembrance, to those that gave all that they had to give so that we may be free and live as free people.
At that moment please offer silence in their memory.
Mustard gas, infected wounds without anti-biotics, unheard of brutality and inhumane conditions, and the greatest loss of life per capita the world has probably ever endured. Today could any of us ever imagine what those souls went through?
Thank you from everyone at The Cornwall Free News.
We also ask that all of our boys and girls overseas stay safe and return safe to their families and loved ones.

Ahhh… someone not afraid to skip the romance and sentiment that has made November 11 a soppy platitudefest.
