MPP Randy Hillier on – The Political Round Table – Tuesday January 18, 2011 – 9 AM – Cornwall Ontario

Cornwall ON – It’s Conservative Day at Tuesday morning for the Political Round Table.

South Stormont Deputy Mayor Tammy Hart sits in for Denis Sabourin who is on vacation for the next two weeks.

She joins pundit Joe Gunn and we have a busy slate for you.

Last week Tammy sent us a letter to the editor which drew a stir over the song lyrics to Mark Knopfler’s  Money for Nothing LINK .

Tammy, Joe, and myself will be chatting about Freedom of Speech and the meanings of some words and then we’ll be joined by special guest; MPP Randy Hillier of Lanark, Frontenac, Lennox, and Addington.

The outspoken activist has just had a story published on the National Post about the Merit Salary increases or decreases for Politicians.   LINK

If the standard of living for people in a province increases, then MPP’s should get an increase in remuneration equal to their constituents’ rate of increase. However, if their policies or legislation have resulted in a decrease in the standard of living of their constituents, then an MPP’s wages ought to decrease at the same rate.

That quote says it all.   We’re joined by Keith Beardsley with his View From the Hill where he and I will talk about Attack Advertising in light of the new Conservative slew of ads that appeared today. ~  Your Community Radio Station Online from Cornwall Ontario, Canada!
