BREAK & ENTER

 

            Cornwall, ON- The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigating a break and enter which occurred during the early hours of the 6th of September, 2011 at a  Walton Street residence. The suspect(s) gained entry by an unlocked door and proceeded to steal a black ACER laptop with a pink mouse, an HP Compact Laptop and a pair of DC black running shoes.             Cornwall, ON- The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigating a break and enter which occurred between the 2nd of September, 2011 evening and the 6th of September, 2011 morning at a Marleau Avenue business. The suspect(s) gained entry by a bay door and proceeded to steal two electrical transpormers and black electric wire. THEFT & BREACHES

 

            Cornwall, ON- Edward Clarence Stepto, 31 of Cornwall was arrested on the 7th of September, 2011. He was bound by an Undertaking with the conditions to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour and notify Cornwall Police in writing within 24 hours of any change of address. It is alleged that on the 7th of September, 2011 he attended a Second Street store and stole merchandise. Police were contacted and further investigation revealed that on the 3rd of September, 2011, he allegedly failed to notify the Cornwall police of a change of address. He was charged with Theft Under $5000.00 and 3 counts of Breach of Undertaking. He was held in custody until court the following day.

 

DOMESTIC ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON

 

            Cornwall, ON- A 43 year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on the 7th of September, 2011. She was bound by an Undertaking with the relevant conditions to abstain from the consumption of alcohol and to not have any contact directly or indirectly with her 49 year-old common-law husband. It is alleged that on the 7thof September, 2011 she entered into an altercation with her 49 year-old common-law husband while under the influence of alcohol when she struck him with a telephone. The victim did not suffer any injuries. She was charged with Domestic Assault with a weapon and 2 counts of Breach of Undertaking. She was held in custody to await court the following day. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in this incident.

 

BREACH OF RECOGNIZANCE

 

            Cornwall, ON- Leonard Francis McPhee 51 of Ottawa was arrested on the 7th of September, 2011. He was bound by a Recognizance with the relevant condition to abstain from the consumption of alcohol absolutely and to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that shortly prior to 9:00 p.m. on the 7th of September, 2011 members of the Cornwall Community Police Service found the male to be under the influence of alcohol. He was charged with 2 counts of Breach of Recognizance and held in custody until court the following day.

 

THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE

 

            Cornwall, ON- The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigating the theft of a 2007 Volkswagon Golf  white in colour from a Cline Street address sometime during the evening of the 7th of September, 2011. If you have any information regarding the theft of this vehicle, please contact the Service by dialling (613) 932-2110.

OPP SEEKING INFORMATION

(South Dundas) – SD&G OPP need the public’s help in identifying the driver of a motorcycle that was involved in two incidents over the long weekend.

The motorcycle was observed travelling at very high rates of speed and passing other motorists in a dangerous manner on County Road 31, Dundas Township.

The motorcycle is described as a Blue & White “Ninja” type bike with a front fairing. The operator is described as wearing a full leather suit with matching colors.
