– On September 20, 2012 at approximately 12:41pm, members of the Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry (SDG) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT), Canine Team and Crime Unit members responded to a report of suspicious people in the Long Sault area.
As a precautionary measure, officers secured the area and two schools were in lock-down as officers investigated.
The lock-down has been lifted. No one was injured.
Investigators have determined that there is no threat at this time. The investigation is continuing.

WARRANTS
Cornwall, ON- Casey Renaud, 20 of Long Sault was arrested on September 19th, 2012 under the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged that on September 18th, 2012 he failed to attend court and a bench warrant was issued. He turned himself in to police and was released to appear in court on October 30th, 2012.
Cornwall, ON- Raymond Kircoff, 52 of Cornwall was arrested on September 19th, 2012 under the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged that there was an outstanding warrant from the Ottawa Police Service. He was held until custody until transportation to Ottawa.
Cornwall, ON- Shaine Robertson, 25 of Cornwall was arrested on September 19th, 2012 under the strength of an outstanding Probation Office warrant. It is alleged that he failed to report as directed, he failed to notify his change of address and he failed to attend the treatment center as was indicated on the order. He turned himself in to police and was held in custody until court later that day.
HARASSMENT
Cornwall, ON- Linda Ward, 64 of Cornwall was arrested on September 19th, 2012. It is alleged that since February 2012, she has been continuously contacting by telephone a 37-year-old female acquaintance. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. She was charged with Criminal Harassment and released to appear in court on October 30th, 2012.
WARRANT & MISCHIEF
Cornwall, ON- A 16-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on September 19th, 2012 under the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged that on August 9th, 2012 he failed to attend court and a warrant was issued. He was located and held in custody at which time he caused damaged to a cell. He was charged with Mischief under $5000. He was held in custody until court the following day.
DOMESTIC BREACHES
Cornwall, ON- 34-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on September 19th, 2012. He was bound by a Probation Order with conditions of not to associate, contact or hold any communication directly or indirectly with his 31-year-old common-law wife except with her prior written revocable consent and keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that September 19th, 2012 he contacted her after the consent was revoked. He was charged with 2 counts of Breach of Probation Order and held in custody until court the following day. His name was not released as it would identify the victim.
DOMESTIC MISCHIEF & BREACH
Cornwall, ON- A 24-year-old Cornwall female was arrested on September 19th, 2012. She was bound by a Probation Order with the condition of Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. It is alleged that on September 19th, 2012 she got into an altercation with her 46-year-old boyfriend when she damaged property. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. She was charged with Domestic Mischief and Breach of Probation Order. She was held in custody until court the following day. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim.
BREACH OF PROBATION
Cornwall, ON- A 16-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on September 20th, 2012. The youth was bound by a Probation Order with the conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and abide by a curfew of 9pm and 5:30am Sunday to Thursday. It is alleged that on September 20th, 2012 shortly before 12:30 am the youth was located away from his residence by a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division. He was charged with 2 counts of Breach of Probation Order and held in custody until court later that day.
