CFN – When you can win without your best players it’s a true testament to good team building, good coaching, and a group of players pulling together.
Having a goalie like Craig Anderson sure doesn’t hurt either. The Sens pulled off a stunning 2-0 victory against the New Jersey Devils in spite of being out shot 33-11.
That’s right the Devils took three shots on the Sens goalie for every one against Hockey’s Greatest ever goalie Martin Brodeur.
Having Milan Michalek back didn’t hurt as he scored the Sens second goal in his second game back from a long injury.
With Jason Spezza and Norris Winner Erik Karlsson still hurting the Sens are clinging to life by simply winning games any way they can which makes them one of the most exciting teams to watch right now as the 2012/13 season comes to a close.
With 7 games left the Sens sit with 46 points, two ahead of the Rangers and 4 ahead of the pack. As a team they have only given up 89 goals. Only Boston and Chicago have given up fewer.
With Anderson on his game and possible returns of Spezza and Karlsson for the Play Offs at some point it ‘s a very exciting time for Sens fans!
