  1. Now that the Canada border services have set a precident in Canada by stopping Canadians traveling from one part of Canada to another as it appears in the Rockwell case and apprehending a person for breaking law, it would make sense that all levels of government should look at putting up more checkpoints on major highways that people must report to during every day movements . Just think of the people that could be brought to justice and in searches and the amount of contraband and stolen goods that could be recovered , drunks stopped , unpaid traffic offences reported to be in the millions alone in SDG that could be collected as the car could be impounded the same as vehicals at the border .
Just think where this could go now we know that Section 8 of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms provides everyone in Canada with protection against unreasonable search and seizure does not protect against this type of policing in Canada.

Just a thought if its good for Akwesasne should be good for all Canadians would you not agree ?

of course this is all about catching a bad guy no one can complain about that !

  2. Reality Check – It would appear that Mr. Rockwell was caught driving while under suspension. I don’t think that unreasonable search and seizure applies to that. The police have the right to pull anyone over at any time if the driver is known to have their license suspended.
