At approximately 1:30pm, a 2012 Dodge pick-up, driven by Mark LANCASTER (58) of Ottawa was southbound when, for reason under investigation, the truck crossed over into the northbound lane colliding head-on with a northbound 2013 Kia, driven by Celina RACETTE (63) of Cornwall. A section of Highway 138 between County Road 43 and Gravel Hill remains closed (traffic being re-routed) while SD&G OPP officers and OPP Technical Traffic Collision investigators process the scene and continue the investigation.
Note…police estimated re-opening of Highway 138 at approximately 8:30pm
possibly he was passing and didn’t care that oncoming traffic was close and he didn’t have patients to wait until the other car was gone and was clear to go and struck her head on. poor woman.
Why is it that the person at fault seems to come out of it unhurt. I know Celine personally and I am praying for her recovery. I hope this man had a very good reason ie. medical for causing this terrible accident. If it turns out to be impaired driving or another preventable cause I hope this man suffers greatly from guilt for he has hurt a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. Everybody pray for my friend!!!
