Concerned Citizens Coalition To Meet Over Stalled Cornwall General Sale – Monday September 16th 2013 CLICK FOR DETAILS

CCC 300x250 ver03

The Concerned Citizens Coalition has called a meeting to talk and try and get an update on the Sale of the Cornwall General Hospital.
Monday September 16, 2013 at the RCAFA Wing 424 at 6:00 pm.
The meeting will be open to the public.
The real estate agents and the Hospital Board are invited to attend.
Mark A MacDonald will be giving an update with respect to the sale of the General Hospital.
And what steps we should be taking as we move forward.
The sale process seems to be stalled and the public has a right to know what’s happening.
There are concerns that a former board member is part of the purchasing team and
that the secrecy behind the sale of a public asset has hobbled the coalition’s attempt to purchase.
Will you be there?

I hope that Mark MacDonald wins over the former CGH for the people. There are enough condos for the rich seniors but the regular people need help.

Summer holidays are barely over.. Can we give them a chance to get their act together… I guarantee you it will not be condos.. Doctors did not buy it to build condos

People in the community (like the elderly in particular) need a type of hospital for when they can no longer care for themselves. Yes home care is the most cost effective way to go but if people cannot help themselves to a certain point then home care is not the answer for them and they have to be placed. We are all getting up there in age and having a place that looks after the elderly is very important. The former General Hospital is a nice size not too big and not too small and in the right place for them to live.

Mr. Mark MacDonald is a very nice gentleman and I would say that he had some good ideas but not the kind that the community really needs. Cornwall needs another facility like the Glen Stor Dun but run a lot more effectively with good staff and not the kind that has done harm to elderly and those who have dementia, etc. It takes a special kind of person to work in health care whether it be a doctor, nurse, technician, etc. People’s lives depend on you.

    @ Jane Doe

Maybe you should have went to meeting instead of harrassing Jamie, just sayin…

cc2 Jane is not harrassing me. There are a lot of people that want to know more and also the other media outlet that covered it did a very minimal job and had comments closed for some reason.

This silly Fall Fest flap has consumed me as more people clicked on our story than actually went to the event. More people probably know about FF now from our story than those other guys advertising achieved. Weird. Kinda sad, but weird, and more sadly because of the City’s silly boycott I’m nearly a one man show.

Our coverage is coming up today and apologies to our loyal and faithful viewers.
