The incident happened near a section of the westbound Highway 401, east of the weigh scales and Curry Hill Road exit.

UPDATE: OPP INVESTIGATING SERIOUS CRASH
(LANCASTER, ON) – On June 23, 2015 at approximately 2:30PM, SDG OPP officers responded to a crash on Highway 401, west bound bear Lancaster (Marker 814).
A double-decker bus and a tractor trailer collided.
There were approximately 45 people on the bus. Approximately 15 people have reported injuries and were taken hospital. Two (2) people were airlifted to other area hospitals.
Non-injured passengers were transported to the Williamstown arena. Transportation is being arranged.
Highway 401 west is closed. Please use detours.
Police, fire and paramedics are at the scene. The investigation is continuing.

A double-decker bus and a tractor trailer collided.
There were approximately 45 people on the bus. Approximately 19 people have reported minor injuries and were taken hospital. One airlifted and 3 taken with serious injuries to other area hospitals.
Non-injured passengers were transported to the Williamstown arena. Transportation is being arranged.
Highway 401 westbound has one lane partially opened. The investigation is continuing.

(LANCASTER, ON) – On June 23, 2015 at approximately 2:30PM, SDG OPP officers responded to a crash on Highway 401, west bound bear Lancaster (Marker 814).
A double-decker bus and a tractor trailer collided.
There were approximately 45 people on the bus. Approximately 19 people have reported minor injuries and were taken hospital.
One adult female was airlifted with serious, life threatening injuries (previously reported as a teenager) and 3 taken with serious injuries to other area hospitals.
Non-injured passengers were transported to the Williamstown arena. Transportation is being arranged.
Highway 401 westbound has one lane open. The investigation is continuing.
