While much of Canada’s media focus is on the tragic death of a family trying to come to Canada from Syria via Turkey two men from India drowned and a third was rescued in the St. Lawrence River in Akwesasne while allegedly attempting to get to the US side yesterday .
It’s being termed an alleged human smuggling case with one person charged.
The Surivor, Mayur Patel, 20, from India has been charged with three counts of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act. The man transporting the three, from Snye Quebec, has also been charged.
We live in a scary world and isn’t it human nature to seek a better life for one’s family? During World War Two Canada turned away a boat load (the St.Louis) of Jewish refugees seeking escape from the Nazi’s in 1939. 234 of the 900 on board would die in extermination camps during the war.
Clearly with the war in Syria, of which Canada is participating there is a need to accommodate refugees.
These three men from India may not have been attempting to make it to the US if they had been accepted in Canada.
Clearly it might be time to review our policies on how we accept people into this country and why. We have the space, and in many cases need the workforce.
While it would be easy to politicize these incidents as other media have this writer thinks it’s an opportunity to take a pause and consider what we want Canada to stand for?
Should Canada be a “warring nation” or a country of peace keepers as has been our tradition for most of the last hundred years?
I think the answer to that is really easy if you think about it.
We need to streamline the process of helping others, refugees, and immigrants that wish to come to our country.

Just imagine the media stories if these were muslim men. The people in akwesasne had better weed these people out that are smuggling folks into the u.s, before DHS and FBI come over and do it for them. They’ll shut the whole program down, and they aren’t pushovers like CBSA. Just saying.

It was suggested — at the time that Canada went all in with the United States on a proven losing middle east play — that Canada should pour our aid instead into housing, education and welfare for middle east refugees.
This could have created a stable environment while refugee claims were handled in an safe, orderly, expeditious manner. Instead, our clumsy and useless military intervention feeds the flames of turmoil and tragedy.
Instability within a country obviously is the root cause which creates refugees. Helping refugees is a humane act. Assisting in stabilizing their war torn country is the long term solution because it deals with the root problem which causes people to be displaced. We are relatively a small nation population wise. Almost 50% of our people live in two have not provinces unable to live financially independently (Ontario and Quebec). Since Canadians are already struggling under a massive debt load at home it is somewhat questionable how much additional responsibility to specific individuals we can assume. The one thing we cannot forgo is a commitment to current Canadians to keep the wolves at bay. I my opinion we need to focus on eliminating ISIS. The rest will fall into place.
The U.N. reports that 70 percent of the world’s refugees end up in the U.S. Could it be that these migrants made a decision to enter the U.S.?
To say that Canadians are struggling under a debt load is a bit over the top. More than a few people with 5 figure credit card debts are still dining out 2 and 3 times a week, a lot of social assistant recipients are carting trays of Tim’s around and tearing through Nevada tickets.
The problems we have are absolutely laughable as an excuse for not helping this human disaster.

Most of the slaughtering going on in Syria is being conducted by the Syrian government with the backing of Putin’s Russia. It’s been going on for about two years and it won’t stop any time soon. Canada’s response to the plight the Syrian refugees is disgusting and embarrassing, but not the least bit surprising given our current leadership.
Canadians are struggling under a massive debt and I read what the debt really is and it is far beyond what Canadians can pay back – it is very massive more than what you were all told. People will find out very soon that they can no longer support the way that they were living and the entire world system is going to crash. The very rich are getting out of the US and going elsewhere because when all hell breaks loose people will be going after the rich people who helped put the counries world wide into a chaos that they can never crawl out of. If you think that things are bad now with the high cost of living hold onto your shorts you haven’t seen anything yet and it is coming down. What you see with the Syrian migrants this is nothing compared to what is going to happen.
Massive debt? I think what Canadians have is typical debt. Yes, some people over do it and they end up paying for it dearly. But again don’t paint everyone with the same brush. I’ve been reading your missives for a few years now that say the end is coming soon. Well, SOON has come and gone a few times.

There are two major events that will happen. One of the will be in the form of a statement. Not directly connected, the last blood moon will be on sept.28/2015. Jerry you are one of the best people on the net here on CFN and I mean those words. The people on CFN and the toilet papers of record and so many others know absolutely nothing what you and I know and when everything does take fruition in a complete way they will be eating their toes wondering why nobody spoke up but we tried. I tried a bit but was moderated. Jerry too many people have small and limited minds no matter where they live but Cornwall’s mentality is quite an exception and would you believe that my husband and I were talking about this this morning on our morning walks. Cornwall is a closed tight society and that is the truth and it is something that we cannot adapt to. I was born and raised in Cornwall and then left and came back and left again and I could never ever get used to that mentality at all. On May,13/2014, the world was given a public warning that we have 500 days to avoid climate disaster. The 500th say is Sept,25/2015. Many suspect a meteor the size of Texas, the only confirmation coming from armature astronomers. So no one takes it seriously. The elite give subtle warnings because they feel it is unsportsmanlike like to not. Maybe nothing will happen. However, there is much evidence and too many ducks in a row to ignore. I saw the video that Jerry is tellling all of you and so has my husband and it was the French Foreign Minister standing next to John Kerry of the US saying that there was only 500 days left and something was going to happen because of the environment. Yes we heard that it was the size of Texas and was going to do a great deal of damage. Whether it happens or not on those particular dates Jerry and I are not scientists to say that is when it will happen it is the wording of those who are in the Know and we are just relaying what they are talking about. We are in the last days on our earth but when all comes to an end nobody knows except God but we are in the last days. So much in the Bible is happening as we speak. Maybe it will be nuclear. A man made event to throw the world into chaos, from which the elites can finally put into place their one world government. At this point anything is possible but one thing is for sure, something big is about to happen. It has been told in the ancient scriptures. If you think about it, 10,000 years is a drop in the bucket compared to billions of years. Perhaps societies like ours have happened many times before, history does have a way of repeating it’s self. It’s easy to be an atheist with so much despair in the world. It takes real strength from the heart and soul to have faith. And it feels good to have faith. It feels lonely and depressing to believe one’s self is nothing.
Jerry it has already been said for many long years that there will be a WWIII which would be a nuclear war and said that many countries would be anhilated. Russia possesses an EMP weapon (Electro Magnetic Pulse) and will use it on North America (US, as well as Canada) where the electricity goes down and all electronics, etc. would be burned out no communication, no cooking, no lights, etc. etc. etc. Russia intends to attack the US by nuclear. I have seen a short video with someone asking Putin in Russian about the EMP and he laughed and he is very highly intelligent and mighty dangerous to boot.
I love reading Jerry and Jules predictions of upcoming doom. It makes great comedy. Another “event” was to happen a few years back. What happened? Oops, they miscalculated. These continual non-events just make the predictors look stupid.

Lassie… Ontario is the worlds most indebted sub-sovereign borrower thanks to the current Liberal government essentially doubling the debt over the last decade. When interest rates rise, as they will, and Ontario’s credit rating continues to fall the cost of servicing this debt will impact all residents. There is but one taxpayer. Ontario will not be getting my tax dollars in the near future as I will be moving to a tax friendly jurisdiction.

Hugger Jerry and I didn’t make it up about the asteroid to hit earth by September 23 and yes the 23rd went by but not only about the asteroid but about the Pope going to Washington DC and there is a great deal to this than what you know about. The Pope is calling for World Government as well as the implementation of policies to control pollution caused by man. There has been a call for World Government by the former pope John Paul II and Pope Benedict XXVI and now Pope Francis. I don’t know if you heard some of Pope Francis’ speaches but one little five year old Mexican/American girl handed the Pope a letter about allowing illegals into the US and this too is quite a main event especially with elections coming up in the US and the Republicans wanting to send back all illegals. Obama has been letting in all the illegals and it was done by the Pope as well all in secrecy. There have been murders, rapes, etc. going on in the US because of some of the illegals.
About the asteroid nobody can put a specific date on when that thing will land or exactly where. I have seen three different places where the asteroid may land so those scientists are about as blind as the rest of us. We may hear more as time goes on what is going to happen but I do know about the fight for climate change as well as World Government. World Government is in the Bible in the Book of Revelation as well as in the Book of Daniel.
