Cornwall Ontario Councilor Mark MacDonald Leads Effort to Save Croquet Club DEC 25, 2015

The Culturel Canadien Cornwall Croquet Club has a lease with the city and
it is located in Mattice Park, at 44 Edward St. The Club has a long history
in Cornwall, they have been in existence since 1917.

The Club has not been active for a few years and as a result, their
building and grounds need some immediate attention

I have met with their Past President, Mr. Bruno Cuerrier and together we
will be hosting a public meeting on Wednesday January 30 at 1:30 pm., at
the Croquet Club.

The agenda will be as follows:

1:00 — 1:30 pm — New member registration

1:30– Call meeting to order — Introduction of guests:

1:35– Opening Remarks — Bruno Cuerrier

1:45– Election of “Interim Board”

1:50– Closing Remarks — next meeting, Spring of 2016

This Club is in desperate need of help, it’s a cultural jewel for our city.
As a new and permanent resident of the east-end, I intend to get personally
involved in the effort to keep the Club alive.

Mark A. MacDonald
