CORNWALL Ontario – The River Kings have added a pair of bodies to their roster and both players will be in the lineup tonight when the team travels to Sorel-Tracy to take on the Eperviers.
General manager Rick Lalonde has signed defenceman Guillaume Veilleux and forward Eric Satim.
Veilleux is a graduate of the QMJHL with stops in Rimouski, alongside Sidney Crosby, Moncton and Quebec. The 6-foot-1, 205 lb. defenceman also has five years and 143 games of experience in the LNAH.
This season, the 29-year-old has suited up in 15 games for Saint-Ephrem in the Ligue de Hockey Beauce Bellechasse Frontenac in Quebec, picking up eight assists and 27 penalty minutes.
Satim, 27, has played the last four seasons with Knoxville in the Southern Professional Hockey League. Last season, in 56 games with the Ice Bears, the Montreal native had 23 goals and 28 assists for 51 points.
The River Kings host Riviere-du-Loup on Saturday night at the Civic Complex. The puck drops at 7:30 p.m.
