Woman Charged After Setting Fire in Domestic Dispute OPP Round Up JAN 11, 2016

DOMESTIC INVESTIGATIONS

(South Dundas) – On January 8, 2016 at approximately 3:46pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a report of a domestic situation at a residence on Caldwell Drive, South Dundas Township. Investigation indicated that an altercation between an adult female and her ex-spouse resulted in the female causing damage within the home.

The 36-year-old from South Dundas Township was arrested and is charged with;

– Mischief – Domestic
– Arson – Damage to Property (set fire to small items outside of home)
– Utter Threats – Damage Property

She was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on February 9, 2016. Her name is being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victim.
(North Stormont) – On January 9, 2016 at approximately 7:27pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic situation at a residence on Valley Street, North Stormont Township. Investigation indicated that an altercation between an adult male and his spouse resulted in the female being assaulted and threatened. Further information revealed previous assaults.

The 51-year-old male from Ottawa, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

– Assault – Spousal (4 counts)
– Utter Threats

He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on January 26, 2016. His name is being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victim.
(South Dundas) – On January 10, 2016 at approximately 1:56m, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic situation at a residence on Chess Road, South Dundas Township. Investigation indicated that an altercation between an adult male and his spouse resulted in the female being assaulted. The accused also caused damage within the home.

The 28-year-old male from South Dundas Township was arrested and is charged with;
– Assault – Spousal
– Mischief – Domestic
– Fail to Comply with Probation Order

He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on February 9, 2016. His name is being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victim.

(North Glengarry) – On January 10, 2016 at approximately 2:59pm, an SD&G OPP officer intercepted a vehicle on County Road 45, North Glengarry Township. The stop revealed that the adult male driver was under the influence of alcohol.

Alexandre OUIMET (27) of North Glengarry Township was arrested and is charged with;

– Driving a Motor Vehicle while Ability Impaired
– Driving a Motor Vehicle with More than 80 Milligrams of a Alcohol in Blood

He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Alexandria on January 28, 2016.

OBSTRUCT/RESIST POLICE

(North Dundas) – On January 9, 2016 at approximately 9:48am, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a disturbance involving an adult male at a residence on Louise Street, North Dundas Township. Upon speaking with the male, he became aggressive and assaulted, threatened and resisted officers.

Andrew SIGNORE (35) of Quinte West, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

– Assault Peace Officer
– Obstruct Peace Officer
– Resist Peace Officer (4 counts)
– Utter Threats (2 counts)
– Fail to Comply with Conditions (3 counts)

He was held in custody pending an appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.
