ARRESTS DURING EXECUTION OF WARRANTS
(ALFRED-PLANTAGENET, ON) – On March 11th, 2016, the Hawkesbury Crime Unit of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and the Community Drug Action Team (CDAT) executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) Search Warrant in the Alfred-Plantagenet Township, resulting in the seizure of cannabis resin and Canadian currency.
Daniel LALONDE (61 yrs) of Alfred was arrested and charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with the following:
– 5(2) Possession of a Schedule II substance for the purpose of Trafficking- under 3 kg (cannabis resin).
The estimated, combined value of the seized controlled substance is over $10,000.00.
The accused was released and scheduled to appear at court on April 27th, 2016 in L’Orignal.

(HAWKESBURY, ON) – On March 24th, 2016, the Hawkesbury Crime Unit of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and the Community Drug Action Team (CDAT) executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) Search Warrant in the Town of Hawkesbury, resulting in the seizure of methamphetamine – codeine – hydromorph contin tablets, cannabis resin, Canadian currency, prohibited weapons and a stolen trailer.
Stephane THERRIEN (40 yrs) of Hawkesbury was arrested and charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with the following:
– 5(2) Possession of a Schedule I (methamphetamines tablets) substance for the purpose of trafficking
– 5(2) Possession of a Schedule I (codeine tablets) substance for the purpose of trafficking
– 5(2) Possession of a Schedule I (hydromorph contin tablets) substance for the purpose of trafficking
– 5(2) Possession of a Schedule II (Cannabis resin) substance for the purpose of trafficking
He was also charged under the Criminal Code of Canada with the following offences:
– 88 Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose – (3 counts)
– 117.01(1) Possession of Firearm or Ammunition contrary to Prohibition Order
– 355(b) Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
Jessica CYR (20 yrs) of Hawkesbury was arrested and charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with the following:
– 5(2) Possession of a Schedule I (methamphetamines tablets) substance for the purpose of trafficking
– 5(2) Possession of a Schedule I (codeine tablets) substance for the purpose of trafficking
– 5(2) Possession of a Schedule I (hydromorph contin tablets) substance for the purpose of trafficking
– 5(2) Possession of a Schedule II (Cannabis resin) substance for the purpose of trafficking
She was also charged under the Criminal Code of Canada with the following offences:
– 88 Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose – (3 counts)
– 354(1)(a) Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
The estimated, combined value of the seized controlled substances is over $11,000.00.
THERRIEN was not released and kept for a bail hearing at L’Orignal court. He was then kept in custody pending his next court date scheduled on April 13th, 2016.
CYR was released and scheduled to appear at court on April 27th, 2016 in L’Orignal.
