Busted Bikers Lead to Warrant & Drug Catch in Cornwall Ontario JUNE 22, 2016

WARRANT

 

Cornwall, ON – As part of ongoing investigations into illegal drug operations members of the Cornwall Community Police Street Crime Unit executed a third drug warrant on June 20th, 2016.

 

On June 20th, 2016 a warrant was executed at an Adolphus Street address and a quantity of cocaine, hydromorphone and hash oil was located. As a result of three recently executed warrants with the assistance of the OPP a quantity of cocaine, hydromorphone, hash, brass knuckles and Canadian currency  as well as “13 Crew” Motor Cycle Gang clothing was located and seized. Rodney Helmer, 42 and Jeffrey Berube, 52 were taken into custody and charged on June 17th, 2016 and are now facing additional charges:

 

·         possession of cocaine

·          possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine

·          possession of hydromorphone

·          possession for the purpose of trafficking hydromorphone

·          possession of cannabis resin (hash) over 1 gram

·          conspiracy to commit

·          

The following Cornwall residents were also charged and released to appear in court at a later date:

 

Jennifer Berube, 52

·         possession of cocaine

·         possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine

·         possession of methamphetamine

·         possession of hash

·         conspiracy

·         unsafe storage of ammunition

·         property obtained by crime

 

 

Rachel Helmer, 41

·         possession of cocaine

·         possession of hash

·         possession of psilocybin

·         possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking

·         possession of property obtained by crime

·         possession of a prohibited weapon

·         conspiracy to traffic cocaine.

Francis Picken, 63

·         possession of hydromorphone

·           possession of cocaine

·          possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine

·         possession for the purpose of trafficking hydromorphone

·         possession of hash

ASSAULT

 

Cornwall, ON – A 24-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on June 21st, 2016 and charged with assault. It is alleged during an argument on June 21st, 2016 the woman bit and struck her boyfriend and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation the woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on August 9th, 2016. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

 

BREAK AND ENTER, THREATS, ROBBERY, BREACH, ASSAULT, HARASSMENT, POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

 

Cornwall, ON – A 30-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on June 21st, 2016 and charged with assault, break and enter robbery, threats, criminal harassment and breach. It is alleged on June 21st, 2016 the man forced his way into his ex-girlfriend’s residence and removed some property after a struggle and biting her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation it was learned the man repeatedly communicated with his ex-girlfriend despite having been told not to. He was taken into custody and found to be in possession of a quantity of marijuana and in breach of a probation order. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

 

WARRANT

 

Cornwall, ON – Brandon Wilson, 20 of Cornwall was arrested on June 21st, 2016 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man breached his probation order and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On June 21st, 2016 a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service attended the Cornwall Courthouse as the man was in custody on unrelated matters. He was arrested on the strength of the warrant and turned over to court staff.

BREACH

 

Cornwall, ON – Jacques Allaire, 43of Cornwall was arrested on June 21st, 2016 and charged with breach of undertaking for associating with someone known to have a criminal record and a known drug user. It is alleged while investigating an unrelated matter on June 21st, 2016 a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service spotted the man in the company of someone known to use drugs and to have a criminal record. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

 

ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, THREATS, POSSESSION OF A WEAPON FOR A DANGEROUS PURPOSE

 

Cornwall, ON – A 53-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on June 21st, 2016 and charged with assault with a weapon, threats and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. It is alleged during an argument on June 21st, 2016 the woman threatened her boyfriend while holding a knife and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation the woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

 

THEFT UNDER $5000

 

Cornwall, ON – Kimberly Laird, 35 of Cornwall was arrested on June 21st, 2016 and charged with theft under $5000. It is alleged on June 21st, 2016 the woman entered a Second Street East store and removed merchandise making no attempt to pay for the item as she left the store. She was stopped by the Loss Prevention Officer and police were contacted. The woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on July 19th, 2016.
