MISCHIEF, THREATS
Cornwall, ON – A 27-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on September 13th, 2016 and charged with mischief, threats and breach of probation for failing to keep. It is alleged during an argument on September 13th, 2016 the man threatened his common-law wife and damaged a door. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
FRAUD OVER $5000
Cornwall, ON – Valentine Mudimbi, 39 of Ottawa was arrested on September 13th, 2016 and charged with Fraud over $5000.00. It is alleged the woman failed to declare changes in her living arrangements to the Ontario Works Resource Centre between August, 2011 and August 2012 which resulted in an overpayment of $9,015.13. She was taken into custody on September 13th, 2016, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on October 12th, 2016
SEXUAL ASSAULT, INVITATION TO SEXUAL TOUCHING
Cornwall, ON – An 18-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on September 13th, 2016 and charged with sexual assault and invitation to sexual touching. It is alleged during the month of August, 2016 the man was involved in an intimate relation with a 13-year-old girl and police were contacted to investigate. On September 13th, 2016 the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on October 11th, 2016. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
FLIGHT FROM POLICE, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – Bryan Devarennes, 47 of Cornwall was arrested on September 13th, 2016 and charged with flight from police and breach of undertaking and probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on September 13th, 2016 the man attempted to flee from police as they were investigating traffic violations while in the area of Second Street and Bedford Street. He was taken into custody during a traffic stop, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
