(South Dundas) – On October 4, 2016 at approximately 12:54am, an Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Stormont Dundas and Glengarry officers attempted to intercept a vehicle following a report of a traffic complaint and a motor vehicle collision involving the same vehicle on Highway 401, South Dundas Township.  The vehicle was located and failed to comply with the request and continued on until it was successfully intercepted by officers on Highway 401, South Grenville Township. The stop resulted in the seizure of a quantity of suspected Percocet. The investigation also revealed that the adult male driver was under the influence of drugs.

David TOMBLIN (45) of Mississauga, Ontario is charged with;

– Driving a Motor Vehicle while Impaired by drugs

– Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle

– Flight While Pursued by Peace Officer

–  Possession of a Controlled Substance

– Fail to Remain (Highway Traffic Act)

He was held in custody pending an appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.

MISCHIEF — VANDALISM

(South Stormont) On October 3rd 2016 SD&G OPP responded to a report of vandalism on Bethune Avenue South Stormont Township.  Investigation revealed that unknown culprit(s) attended the school and had several windows(10) smashed out. The culprit(s) caused the damage sometime between – Friday September 30th – October 3rd 2016.
