SD&G #OPP Nail South Stormont Man With Lotsa Drugs – OCT 6, 2016

IMPAIRED DRIVERS

(South Dundas) – On October 5, 2016 at approximately 8:20pm, a Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer intercepted a vehicle on Highway 401, South Dundas Township. The stop indicated that the adult female driver was under the influence of alcohol. Further information also revealed that she was in contravention of a condition imposed from a previous incident.

Emily HOWARD (30) of Toronto, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

– Driving a Motor Vehicle while Ability Impaired
– Driving a Motor Vehicle with More Than 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in Blood
– Breach of Recognizance

She was released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Morrisburg on October 20, 2016.
(South Stormont) – On October 6, 2016 at approximately 2:41am, SD&G OPP officers intercepted a vehicle on County Road 18, South Stormont Township. The stop indicated that the adult female driver was under the influence of alcohol.

Laura Ann FISHER (39) of North Stormont Township was arrested and is charged with;

– Driving a Motor Vehicle while Ability Impaired
– Driving a Motor Vehicle with More Than 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in Blood

She was released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on October 20, 2016.
DRUGS SEIZED AT RIDE

(South Stormont) – On October 5, 2016 at approximately 11:57pm, SD&G OPP officers conducted Reduce Impaired Drivers Everywhere (RIDE) vehicle checks at an off-ramp of Highway 401, South Stormont Township. The check of a vehicle resulted in the seizure of quantities of suspected marihuana, cocaine, ecstasy and OxyContin.

Ryan HERRINGTON (25) of South Stormont Township was arrested and is charged with;

– Possession of a Controlled Substance (4 counts)
– Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (2 counts)

He was released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on November 8, 2016.
DOMESTIC ASSAULT

(North Dundas) – On October 5, 2016 at approximately 9:28pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic situation at a residence on County Road 43, North Dundas Township. Investigation indicated that an altercation between a male and his girlfriend resulted in the female being assaulted.

The 47-year-old male from Clarence-Rockland, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

– Assault – Domestic

He was released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on November 1, 2016. His name is being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victim.
