DRUG WARRANT EXECUTED – HAWKESBURY
(HAWKESBURY, ON) – On Wednesday November 30th, 2016, members of the Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB) – Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) – Community Drug Action Team (CDAT), assisted by the East Region Emergency Response Team (ERT) and the OPP Canine Unit, executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) Search Warrant in the Town of Hawkesbury, resulting in the seizure of cannabis marihuana, cannabis marihuana resin and Canadian currency.
Officers arrested four male individuals at the residential property. A 48-year-old, two 22-year-old and a 17-year-old young person, all of Hawkesbury face charges of possession of a Schedule II substance for the purpose of Trafficking- under 3 kg.
All were released and scheduled to appear at court on January 04th, 2017 in L’Orignal.
The identity of the accused adults will not be released to protect the identity of the accused young person. The name of the young person will not be released in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA).
