CFN would like to remind our viewers to be vigilant. If you or anyone you know appears to be having symptoms familiar with an overdose head directly to your local hospital. You can also get a free Naloxone kit which is a prevalent remedy for Opioid overdose. It’s not a cure, but helps prevent loss of life until the victim can get to a hospital for treatment.
Several local pharmacies offer the kits for free including Wholehealth Pharmacy on Second Street West in the Times Square mall.
Fentanyl is one of the biggest drug dangers because of the tiny amounts needed to trigger an overdose. It essentially is a fast acting drugs said to be up to 100 times more powerful than heroin. Essentially a few grains the size of salt could be fatal.
Many Fentanyl overdoses have occurred by error when consuming other drugs where the victims were unaware that they were in fact consuming Fentanyl.
