DOMESTIC INVESTIGATION
(South Stormont)- On June 14, 2017 at approximately 11:34 am, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic situation at a residence in the village of Long Sault, South Stormont Township. Investigation indicated that an adult male had assaulted his ex-wife. Further information also revealed that the male drove his vehicle in a dangerous manner while the couple was driving in South Dundas during a previous incident.
An adult male (52) from South Stormont, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;
– Assault
– Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle
The Male was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on July 11, 2017. The names of the accused persons are being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victim.
Breach of Conditions
(South Glengarry) – On June 15, 2017 at approximately 1:20 am Stormont Dundas & Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police officers intercepted a vehicle on Boundary Road, South Glengarry Township (Gray’s Creek Conservation Area). Investigation revealed that a male driver was in contravention of conditions imposed from a previous incident.
A check of the male driver revealed his driving privileges disqualified stemming from previous driving related offences. The investigation also revealed the driver had break in instruments within the vehicle.
Scott ROBINSON (21) of Cornwall, Ontario was arrested and is charged with
– Fail to Comply with Conditions of Probation Order ( 2 Counts)
– Drive Disqualified
– Possession of break in Instruments
The male was held in custody pending an appearance in Cornwall court on June 16th, 2017.
