WARRANT EXECUTED – DRUGS SEIZED
(SOUTH GLENGARRY, ON) On August 24, 2017, members of the Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau – Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) and SD&G OPP executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Search Warrant on a residence on Concession Road 8, South Glengarry. This resulted in the seizure of, a quantity of Marihuana plants, Marihuana, Oxycontin pills, ammunition and brass knuckles.
Chad BRYNTICK (43) of South Glengarry, Ontario was arrested and charged with;
– Possession of a Controlled Substance ( 2 counts)
– Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon
– Produce a Controlled Substance
– Careless Storage of ammunition
Claude LAVIGNE (53) of North Glengarry, Ontario was arrested and charged with;
– Possession of a Controlled Substance ( 2 counts)
– Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon
– Produce a Controlled Substance
– Careless Storage of ammunition
Darlene WHITE (52) of South Glengarry, Ontario was arrested and charged with;
– Possession of a Controlled Substance ( 2 counts)
– Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon (2 counts)
– Produce a Controlled Substance
– Careless Storage of ammunition
All three were released and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Alexandria on October 11, 2017.
CHARGES LAID IN THEFT
(SOUTH STORMONT, ON) – On August 23, 2017 SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of shoplifting at a business on County Road 2, South Stormont Township. The Investigation revealed that a female had removed items from two businesses on August 23, 2017.
Christina POWELL (43) of Toronto, Ontario was charged with;
– Theft Under $5000 – Shoplifting ( 2 counts)
She was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on October 19, 2017.
DANGEROUS OPERATION OF A VEHICLE
(SOUTH GLENGARRY, ON) – On August 23, 2017 at approximately 3:28pm, an Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Stormont Dundas and Glengarry (SD&G) detachment officers responded to a report of a two vehicle collision on County Road 18, South Glengarry Township. The investigation revealed that a collision occurred and that one vehicle left the scene only to return a short time after and the male driver assaulted the driver of the other vehicle.
Murray MCTEER (39) of North Glengarry, Ontario is charged with;
– Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle
– Fail to stop at scene of accident
– Assault
– Assault with a weapon
He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Alexandria on October 11, 2017.
STOLEN CAR RECOVERED
(SOUTH STORMONT,ON) – On August 21, 2017 at approximately 11:23 pm, Stormont Dundas &Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police responded to a report of a vehicle being taken from a property on Wales Road, South Stormont Township. Investigation indicated that on August 21, 2017 a 2001 Beige 4 door Toyota Camry (Ontario license plate #ATJN 571) was stolen.
On August 23, 2017 SD&G OPP responded to a report of the stolen car recovered in Ingleside, Ontario. The vehicle was located and returned to the owners
