MISCHIEF
Cornwall, ON – Bai Mei, 31 of Ottawa was arrested on August 31st, 2017 and charged with mischief and breach of recognizance for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged while in custody on an unrelated matter the man damaged a door at the Cornwall Courthouse and police were contacted to investigate. The man was charged accordingly and remained in custody for a bail hearing.
Cornwall, ON – Claude Rochon, 22 of Cornwall was arrested on September 1st, 2017 and charged with mischief. It is alleged while in custody on an unrelated matter the man damaged a door at the Cornwall Courthouse and flooded his cell. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was charged accordingly and remained in custody for a bail hearing.
WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – Photius Moshonas, 60 of Cornwall was arrested on September 1st, 2017 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man failed to attend court on August 31st, 2017 for an impaired driving charge and a warrant was issued for his arrest. September 1st, 2017 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court on September 21st, 2017.
HARASSING PHONE CALLS, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – A 24-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on September 2nd, 2017 and charged with harassing phone calls and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged the man called his ex-girlfriend on several occasions on September 1st, 2017 and September 2nd, 2017 despite having been warned by police not to. The man was located by police, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – Cheyenne Andrews-Ladouceur, 18 of Cornwall was arrested on September 2nd, 2017 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the woman breached her probation order and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On September 2nd, 2017 she was located by police, taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.
BREACH
Cornwall, ON- A 36-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on September 2nd, 2017 and charged with breach of recognizance for communicating with his girlfriend and being within 500 meters of her. He was also charged with breach of probation for failing to keep the peace and for having consumed alcohol. It is alleged on September 2nd, 2017 the man was spotted in breach of his conditions by a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as the conditions stem from a domestic incident and would identify the victim in the matter.
IMPAIRED, OVER 80, POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA
Cornwall, ON – Justin Wright, 23 of Cornwall was arrested on September 3rd, 2017 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle, over 80 and possession of marijuana. It is alleged the man was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol on September 3rd, 2017 while in the area of Cumberland Street. He was taken into custody during a traffic stop and found to be in possession of a quantity of marijuana. He was charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date.
OBSTRUCT POLICE, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – Stephanie Frigon, 26 of Gatineau was arrested on September 3rd, 2017 and charged with obstruct police and breach of recognizance for being out past curfew, consuming alcohol and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged in the early morning hours of September 3rd, 2017 the woman gave a wrong name to police during a traffic stop. She was taken into custody and found to be in breach of four recognizance orders. She was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
BREAK AND ENTER, MISCHIEF, ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON – A 26-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on September 3rd, 2017 and charged with three counts of assault, mischief and break and enter. It is alleged in the early morning hours of September 3rd, 2017 the intoxicated man entered a residence without permission, damaged property and assaulted three persons known to him including his ex-girlfriend. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victims in the matter.
ASSAULT, FORCIBLE CONFINEMENT
Cornwall, ON – A 22-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on September 3rd, 2017 and charged with assault and forcible confinement. It is alleged during an argument on September 3rd, 2017 the woman assaulted her partner and prevented her from leaving the apartment. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation the woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on October 3rd, 2017.
