EXCESSIVE SPEEDS
(South Stormont) – On September 19, 2017, SD&G Ontario Provincial Police officers conducted speed measuring enforcement on Highway 401, South Stormont Township and intercepted the following vehicle for travelling at excessive speeds. The vehicle was impounded and the drivers’ permits seized for seven (7) days in accordance with policy.
– September 19, 2017 – 7:00am (South Stormont): vehicle stopped travelling 160km/h (100km/h zone). Male driver (45) from Laval, Quebec was charged accordingly.
ASSAULT
(South Dundas) – On September 19, 2017 at approximately 12:02 pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a disturbance on County Road 2, South Dundas Township.
Investigation indicated that an altercation occurred between two adult males. The accused male struck the victim. The victim received no injuries.
Matt MCMILLAN (30) of South Dundas, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;
– Assault (2 counts)
He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Morrisburg on November 14, 2017.
STOLEN VEHICLE
(South Stormont) – On September 19, 2017 at approximately 5:08pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a theft of a car from a Residence on Willy Allan Road, South Stormont Township. Investigation indicated that sometime between (September 18-19, 2017) a 1966 Blue Buick Lesabre with Ontario Licence Plate (2H7 697) was removed from the property.
An investigation continues.
BREACH OF CONDITIONS
(South Dundas) – On September 19, 2017 at approximately 7:28pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a disturbance on Ontario Street, South Dundas Township. An Investigation indicated that a male was in contravention of conditions imposed from a previous incident.
Christopher WHITE (36) of Edwardsburg, Ontario was arrested and charged with;
– Fail to Comply Recognizance (3 counts)
He was held in custody pending an appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.
TRAFFIC STOP RESULTS IN CHARGES
(South Stormont) – On September, 2017 at approximately 6:08pm, Stormont Dundas & Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police officer had the occasion to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation on Willy Allen Road, South Stormont Township. A check of the female driver revealed her driving privileges were disqualified stemming from previous driving related offences. This also resulted in the seizure of a quantity of marihuana.
Faydra HULSE (41) of Cornwall, Ontario was arrested and is charged with:
– Drive Disqualified
– Possession of a Controlled Substance
– Drive Under suspension (Highway traffic Act)
He was released and scheduled to appear in Cornwall court on November 7, 2017.
Wait until Trudeau passes the insane law of drugs being legalized how many traffic violations are going to happen. The cops will be busier than hell trying to catch all the impaired drivers on the road. It is bad enough as is. I cant wait for the next PM to change everything. This is insane.
