(LANARK COUNTY, ON) – As part of an ongoing investigation of a robbery in the Township of Lanark Detectives from the Crime Unit Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a man from the Town of Perth.
Bryan MORDY (39 years) is charged:
One (1) Count Robbery using a Firearm
One (1) Count Wear Disguise with Intent
Two (2) Counts Pointing a Firearm
MORDY was held in custody pending a Bail Hearing in The Town of Perth.
The investigation started at 12:19pm Monday October 2, 2017 when officers from the Lanark County Detachment (OPP) responded to an emergency call regarding a robbery at the Liquor Control Board of Ontario (LCBO) site on Clarence Street in the Village of Lanark.
No one was injured in the incident. The suspects fled on foot
Two local elementary schools were placed in “Hold and Secure “mode to ensure the safety of the children and staff.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
