SD&G #OPP Round Up for Thursday November 22, 2018

CHARGES LAID RELATING TO BREAK IN

 

(NORTH DUNDAS,ON) – On November 20, 2018, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police officers responded to a report of a break-in at a business on County Road 31, North Dundas Township.

Investigation indicated that sometime overnight culprit(s) entered the business (Rideau Auctions) and attempted to remove several items. On November 21, 2018 at 8:10am the culprits returned to the store to remove more products but were intercepted by staff.

 

SD&G OPP arrested two male youths in connection with the break-in.

 

A 17- year-old male from North Dundas, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

–             Break and Enter

–             Possession of Property obtained by crime – over $5000

–             Theft over $5000

–             Fail to comply with Probation (  2 counts) YCJA

 

A 16- year-old male from North Dundas, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

 

–             Possession of Property obtained by crime – Over $5000

–             Theft over $5000

–             Fail to comply with Probation (  2 counts) YCJA

–             Fail to comply with conditions of an undertaking

–             Possession of break in instruments

 

Both were held in custody pending a court appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.

The names of the accused are being withheld in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA).




MALE ARRESTED FOR STOLEN CAR

 

(SOUTH GLENGARRY,ON) – On November 21, 2018 at approximately 10:51am  a member  of the SD&G OPP intercepted a stolen car on Highway 401, South Glengarry, Ontario. The investigation revealed that an adult male was in possession of a stolen car from Toronto, Ontario.

 

 

Calvin KABIOLA (18) of Etobicoke, Ontario was arrested and charged with;

 

– Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000

 

He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on December 27, 2018.
