THEFT UNDER $5000, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – Jeffery Hutt, 33, and Justin Watters-Lalonde, 26, both of Cornwall, were arrested on March 18th, 2019 and charged with theft under $5000, as well as breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. The men had allegedly attended a Cornwall Square business and removed a piece of jewellery, making no attempt to pay for the item as they left the store. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The men were located shortly thereafter, and were both taken into custody, charged accordingly, and held for a bail hearing.
WARRANTS
Cornwall, ON – Larry Labelle, 42, of Cornwall was arrested on March 18th, 2019 on the strength of multiple warrants. It is alleged the man took a camera belonging to a man he did not know, all the while breaching his curfew, and a warrant was issued for his arrest. It is further alleged the man failed to attend court on January 23rd, 2019 for drug offences and another warrant was issued for his arrest. On March 18th, 2019, police located the man. He was taken into custody on the strength of the warrants and held for a bail hearing.
POSSESSION OF COCAINE, POSSESSION FOR THE PURPOSE OF TRAFFICKING COCAINE, POSSESSION OF PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – Zain Abdin, 32, of Cornwall was arrested on March 19th, 2019 and charged with the following:
• Possession of cocaine
• Possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine
• Possession of property obtained by crime
• Breach of undertaking (for failing to keep the peace)
• Breach of probation (for failing to keep the peace)
• Breach of recognizance x 5 (for failing to reside at a certain address, being away from his residence, possessing intoxicating substances, possessing unlawful drugs, and possessing a cell phone)
It is alleged during a traffic stop on March 19th, 2019, the man was found to be in breach of his conditions and in possession of a quantity of cocaine, Canadian currency, and a cell phone. During the investigation, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
BREACH
Cornwall, ON – Caylum Woods, 20, of Cornwall was arrested on March 19th, 2019 and charged with breach of probation for possessing a weapon and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on March 18th, 2019, the man was in possession of a bat during an altercation with two individuals known to him. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On March 19th, 2019, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on April 25th, 2019.
DOMESTIC MISCHIEF, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – A 17-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on March 19th, 2019 and charged with the following:
• Mischief under $5000
• Breach of probation x 12 (for contacting and being within 100 metres of her boyfriend, for contacting a certain person, and for failing to keep the peace)
It is alleged on three occasions throughout the month of March, the youth was in the company of her boyfriend, despite her conditions. On one occasion, during an argument, the youth damaged plates in her boyfriend’s residence. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On March 19th, 2019, police located the youth in the company of her boyfriend and another man contrary to her conditions. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
