WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – Jillian King, 31, of Akwesasne was arrested on March 26th, 2019 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the woman breached her recognizance and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On March 26th, 2019, the woman was stopped at the Port of Entry and police were contacted. She was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.
THEFT UNDER $5000, BREACH, FRAUD UNDER $5000, POSSESSION OF PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME
Cornwall, ON – Sydney Taylor-Lauzon, 18, of Williamstown was arrested on March 26th, 2019 and charged with the following:
• Theft under $5000 x 3
• Fraud under $5000
• Possession of property obtained by crime
• Breach of probation x 12 (for attending a certain business, failing to keep the peace and possessing alcohol)
It is alleged between February 21st and March 8th, 2019, the woman attended a Brookdale Avenue business on two occasions, as well as a Second Street East business, despite her conditions, and removed bottles of alcohol, making no attempt to pay for the items as she left the stores. It is further alleged on March 7th, 2019, the woman attempted to deposit a stolen cheque into her bank account and police were contacted. On March 26th, 2019, the woman attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on April 26th, 2019.
WARRANTS
Cornwall, ON – Ashton Page-Cholette, 18, of Cornwall was arrested on March 26th, 2019 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man breached his conditional sentence order and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On March 26th, 2019, the warrant was executed and the man was held for a bail hearing.
Cornwall, ON – Silas Benedict, 60, of Akwesasne was arrested on March 26th, 2019 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man failed to attend court, as well as failed to appear for prints and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On March 26th, 2019, a member of the Cornwall Police Service assumed custody of the man from the Akwesasne Mohawk Police Service, as he had been taken into custody on the strength of Cornwall’s warrant. The warrant was executed and the man was held for a bail hearing.
