IMPAIRED BY DRUG
(SOUTH DUNDAS,ON) – On May 6, 2019 at approximately 11:55pm, a Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer intercepted a vehicle following a traffic violation on Highway 401, South Dundas Township. Investigation indicated that the adult male driver was under the influence of a drug. The stop resulted in the seizure of a quantity of suspected psilocybin (magic mushrooms) and morphine from the male.
Jason POWER (22) of Brockville, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;
– Drive a Motor Vehicle While Impaired by a Drug
– Possession of a controlled substance ( 2 counts)
– Theft under $5000
– Fail to comply with conditions of a probation order
He was held in custody (bail) and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on May 7, 2019
