ONE PERSON DECEASED FOLLOWING SKYDIVING INCIDENT
Correct age of injured male is 51 years old
(LEEDS, ON.) – Members of the Leeds County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a fatal skydiving incident.
On July 20, 2019 at about 4:10 p.m., officers in Leeds and Thousand Islands Township were advised of a skydiving incident on Airport Road near Gananoque. A 63 year old female from Ennismore, Ontario was pronounced deceased at the scene and a 31 year old male from Alexandria, Ontario was transported to hospital by ambulance with serious injuries.
No names are being released at this time.
The Transportation Safety Board (TSB) was notified of this incident and the OPP is continuing with the investigation.
