STOLEN TRACTOR TRAILER

(SOUTH GLENGARRY,ON) – On August 30, 2019 at approximately 6:56am, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police responded to a report of a Tractor Trailer being taken from a property on 4th Line Road, South Glengarry Township. Investigation indicated that sometime overnight August 29-30, 2019, culprit(s) attended the property and removed a Red 2005 West Star CNV tractor and a yellow 1993 Arnes Triax Trailer. The culprit(s) also damaged another tractor at the location.

An Investigation continues.

DRUGS SEIZED AT TRAFFIC STOP

(SOUTH DUNDAS,ON) – On August 30, 2019 at approximately 11:46pm, a Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer intercepted a vehicle on Elm Street, South Dundas Township. The stop resulted in the seizure of a quantity of suspected marihuana and Canadian currency.

The driver, Corey TSCHOUMY (age 29) of South Dundas Township, Ontario was arrested and charged with:

– Possession of a Controlled Substance for the purpose of trafficking (Criminal Code of Canada)

– Possession of property obtained by crime (CCC)

– Possessing cannabis for the purpose of selling (Cannabis Act)

– Possession for the purpose of distributing (CA)

He was released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Morrisburg October 1, 2019

BREAK IN

(NORTH DUNDAS,ON) On August 31, 2019 at approximately 2:20pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police officers responded to a report of a break-in at a business (Parmalat) on Gordon Street in Winchester, Ontario.

Investigation indicated that sometime overnight unknown culprit(s) attended the business and entered 7 trailer units, causing damage to the trailers and the products inside.

 An Investigation continues.

DISPUTE LEADS TO CHARGES

(SOUTH STORMONT,ON) – On August 31, 2019 at approximately 8:40pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police officers responded to a report of family dispute in South Stormont Township. Investigation revealed that an adult female had assaulted an occupant (adult male) of the home with a weapon. Shortly thereafter, two other adult males assaulted the same victim at the location.

Victoria LAVIGNE (age 20) of Cornwall, Ontario was arrested and is charged with:

– Assault ( two counts)

– Assault with a weapon ( two counts)

Alexander SNIDER (age 24) of Cornwall, Ontario was arrested and charged with:

–             Assault

Christopher SNIDER (age 20) of Cornwall, Ontario was arrested and charged with:

–             Assault

All three accused were released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on September 19, 2019.

DISPUTE LEADS TO CHARGES

(SOUTH STORMONT,ON) – On September 2, 2019 at approximately 3:43pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police officers responded to a report of family dispute in South Stormont Township. Investigation revealed that a youth male had assaulted a family member during the altercation.

A 13-year-old male of South Stormont, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

– Assault

He was released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall October 17, 2019
