THEFT UNDER $5000
Cornwall, ON – Tammy Levesque, 41, of Cornwall was arrested on September 5th, 2019 and charged with theft under $5000. It is alleged the woman took a TV from a woman known to her and pawned it at a local pawn shop. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On September 5th, 2019, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on October 10th, 2019.
TRAFFICKING IN SCHEDULE III SUBSTANCE X 2, POSSESSION OF CANNABIS FOR THE PURPOSE OF SELLING, POSSESSION OF ILLICIT CANNABIS, POSSESSION OF PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME
Cornwall, ON – Conner Maynard, 20, of Cornwall was arrested on September 5th, 2019 and charged with the following:
• Traffick in Schedule III Substance – Lysergic Acid Diethylamide (LSD)
• Traffick in Schedule III Substance – Psilocybin (Mushrooms)
• Possession of illicit cannabis
• Possession of cannabis for the purpose of selling
• Possession of property obtained by crime
As a result of an ongoing investigation in relation to the illegal sale of drugs within the city of Cornwall, members of the Cornwall Street Crime Unit arrested the man on September 5th, 2019 and found him to be trafficking LSD tabs and mushrooms, and was in possession of a quantity of illicit cannabis and Canadian currency. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on October 8th, 2019.
CRIMINAL HARASSMENT, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – James Logan, 69, of Cornwall was arrested on September 5th, 2019 and charged with two counts of criminal harassment and breach of undertaking for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged the man had repeatedly watched a man known to him during the month of August and police were contacted to investigate. On September 5th, 2019, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
IMPAIRED, OVER 80
Cornwall, ON – Jesse Berndt, 31, of Cornwall was arrested on September 6th, 2019 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80. It is alleged during the early morning hours, the man was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol in the area of Brookdale Avenue and Ninth Street. He was taken into custody during a traffic stop, was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on September 24th, 2019.
