WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – Robert Landon, 63 of Long Sault was arrested on October 4th, 2019 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man failed to attend court on September 12th, 2019 for an impaired charge and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On October 4th, 2019, the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.
BREACH
Cornwall, ON – A 38-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on October 4th, 2019 and charged with breach of undertaking for communicating with her ex-boyfriend. It’s alleged the woman communicated with her ex-boyfriend and police were contacted to investigate. On October 4th, 2019, the woman attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released, as it would identify the victim in the matter.
THREATS, MISCHIEF, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – A 12-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on October 4th, 2019 and charged with threats and mischief. It’s alleged on October 4th, 2019 the youth damaged a wall at his residence and threatened to kill his brother. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, the youth was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. His name was not released as per the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
BREACH
Cornwall, ON – James Logan, 69 of Cornwall was arrested on October 5th, 2019 and charged with breach of recognizance for being in possession of ammunition. It is alleged on October 5th, 2019 the man was found to be in possession of ammunition while at the Port of Entry despite his conditions. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
IMPAIRED OPERATION, OVER 80
Cornwall, ON – Christopher Lague, 38 of Cornwall was arrested on October 6th, 2019 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80. It is alleged on October 6th, 2019 the man was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol in the area of Second Street East. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on October 22nd, 2019.
BREACH, RESIST ARREST
Cornwall, ON – Rene Lang, 49 of Cornwall was arrested on October 6th, 2019 and charged with breach of recognizance for not abiding by his curfew. He was also charged with resist arrest. It is alleged in the early morning hours of October 6th, 2019, the man was spotted in breach of his conditions. He was taken into custody after a brief struggle, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
HARASSING PHONE CALLS
Cornwall, ON – A 35-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on October 6th, 2019 and charged with harassing phone calls. It is alleged during the month of September the man repeatedly communicated with his ex-girlfriend despite having been warned by police not to. On October 6th, 2019 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on October 29th, 2019. His name was not released, as it would identify the victim in the matter.
ASSAULT, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – A 22-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on October 6th, 2019 and charged with assault and breach of undertaking. It is alleged during an argument on September 6th, 2019 the man assaulted his girlfriend and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation, it was learned the man was in breach of his conditions for communicating with his girlfriend, being at her residence and failing to keep the peace. On October 6th, 20919 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
