An incident has been reported at the Pickering Nuclear Station. The emergency alert sent just before 7:30 am said no abnormal release of radioactivity from the station has been detected and people within 10 km of the plant do not need to take any action at this time.

Ontario Power Generation has posted that it was a false alert.
Important update: the alert regarding #Pickering Nuclear was sent in error. There is no danger to the public or environment.
