Walmart Bomb Threat Caller Charged in Cornwall Ontario POLICE BLOTTER July 23 #ccps

THREATS, MISCHIEF, FALSE MESSAGES

 

Cornwall, ON – Albert Givogue, 74 of Cornwall was arrested on July 22nd, 2015 and charged with threats, mischief and false messages. It is alleged on July 18th, 2015 the man stated to a store associate that he had left a bomb within the Walmart store and police were contacted to investigate. During their investigation the threat was deemed to be a mischief and as a result Albert Givogue was arrested and charged accordingly. He will appear in court on September 8th, 2015.

 

ASSAULT, BREACH

 

Cornwall, ON – Ross MacDonald, 39 of Cornwall was arrested on July 22nd, 2015 and charged with assault and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on March 20th, 2015 the man pushed and spat on a 30-year-old man known to him and police were contacted to investigate. During their investigation police could not locate the man and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On July 22nd, 2015 the man was located at his residence, arrested on the strength of a warrant and released to appear in court on September 8th, 2015.

BREACH

 

Cornwall, On – A 27-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on July 21st, 2015 and charged with breaching her undertaking for being within 100 meters of a certain address and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged the woman breached her conditions on more than one occasion and police were contacted to investigate. On July 21st, 2015 the woman attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on August 20, 2015. Her name was not released as the matter stems from a domestic incident and would identify the victim.

 

THEFT UNDER $5000

 

Cornwall, ON – A 41-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on July 21st, 2015 and charged with theft under $5000. It is alleged in the month of March, 2015 the woman took her 38-year-old ex-husband’s ring without his permission and police were contacted to investigate. On July 21st, 2015 the woman attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on August 20th, 2015. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
