Yes, I’ll be at Alice in Wonderland today with all the other crazy first night freaks, but Cornwall has a chance to see a stunningly wonderful film. Jeff Bridges channels a bit of his inner Waylon Jennings in this amazing film.
Crazy Heart has a star studded cast which includes Robert Duvall, Maggie Gyllenhaal, and Colin Farrell. It’s a character piece with strong performances; interesting music, and a really good beat. Not too long; not to short.
Bridges performance is near perfect as the fallen country star who attempts to find his path; and he does his own singing!
You can check out Crazy Heart while it’s in town at The Port Theatre, 132 Montreal Road in the Les Village section of Cornwall Ontario.

Bridges is also a heavy favourite to bring home the Oscar on Sunday night. If nothing else he should get the award for being snubbed years ago when he played the Dude in The Big Lebowski!
