Will Syd Gardiner Be Charged With Mischief for Damaging Protest Signs? Will Mayor Kilger Declare Conflict of Interest? VIDEO

Bob not happyCFN – That’s our corrupt mayor of Cornwall Ontario Bob Kilger.   He’s had a lucky week.  Instead of dealing with his conflict of interest issues like his being on the Benson University hit on Council for cold cash and others by a gutless act of hitting the panic button, costing the city a few thousand dollars in policing, and gosh knows what down the road in legal fees, he violated my charter rights and had me dragged out of council by seven police officers for having a t shirt with the image below.

It’s like we live in China, or the US!    Can you imagine?  What’s been most disturbing from the drama is that not a single major media outlet has picked up this story.   Even the tiny ones here in Cornwall have snubbed the story.   The Seaway News printed a near blind item about a man causing a disturbance.

Today Cheryl Brink of the Free Holder wrote a bit on this story refusing to type the name Cornwall Free News or CFN in the story.  Nor did she mention the protesters at the start of the meeting or that councilor Syd “Vicious” Gardiner destroyed the protesters signs!

Syd Viscious

Police have yet to charge Gardiner nor say that they wont even though multiple complaints have been sworn out as Mr. Gardiner tore up signs right in the chamber door way snarling while doing it.    None of the remaining signs have turned as of press time.   And of course the gutless editor at the Freeholder is not allowing comments on their story; nor did they contact me for my side of the incident or quote any witnesses from the crowd.

Picket Signs 1

All we know is that high priced super lawyer Will McDowell was in council last week.  The city is refusing to say why or who is paying his travel fees and time, or for that matter how long he’s been on the clock.

There are two high profile whistle blowing cases that we know of against the city; one of which if rumors are true involves the mayor’s involvement with the hiring process of his son on the fire department which if true would be not only a conflict of interest, but something that has been hidden for months from the public by the mayor and council with their series of in camera meetings.

As a matter of fact it almost feels like Cornwall Council under Mayor Kilger has spent more time in camera than in open session this past few months.

There are so many questions that new Clerk Helen Finn and the City are refusing to answer.  Simple ones like the global sum that they have paid out in settlements and litigation during Kilger’s reign; how much money went back and forth between Kilger bag man Gilles Latour and the Mayor’s campaign (Latour paid for advertising for the  mayor’s campaign with his own cheque).    There are more, such as the two series of envelopes delivered to council and why according to reports that it took an in camera confrontation for the mayor to admit that they had been with held from council; but each question is met with silence or questions back instead of simple clear answers.

Answers to questions that the public are asking and should be met.

It’s almost as though City Hall has become a Fortress around our corrupted Mayor.

CFN has endured a barrage of abuse since Monday’s council meeting, but we’ve had a bigger barrage of support including a wonderful chain on Facebook from some students from the St. Lawrence College Journalism class.

I know that while some lawyering will be going on over the next while I can say that I will be back with my t shirt next council meeting.  From what I’ve read and heard there will be an awful lot more people wearing them too.    Will the mayor have police evict us all?

And will council sit in silence and allow this corruption to continue; especially Councilor Bernadette Clement who seems dead set on being the Provincial candidate for new Liberal Premier Kathleen Wynne if there’s an election in the Spring, and as a lawyer herself, even if she’s not representing the city should know right from wrong; justice from injustice.   Is this how she represents the voters of this city and area?  That just might be why she finished so badly in her failed attempt against incumbent Guy Lauzon in the last Federal election?

What do you say Cornwall and the world?  You can post your comments below and you can watch me dragged out of Council by 7 police in the video below.

As you can see in the video they first try and invoke Trespass; then they brought out a paper to me citing section 241.2 of the Municipal act about the power to expel from council regarding improper conduct.   I was sitting in my chair and only responded to the mayor singling me out and demanding I change my shirt.   I never left my seat nor used profanity.   A very odd interpretation and now according to the Free Holder story Ms Brink is puking up some goo fed to her citing something under the Public Works act as the reason for me being yanked out.   Corus radio topped that by simply making a radio parody suggesting that this writer was a fat guy that milks his own bosom.    Now that’s coverage!

Frankly this is a Charter of Rights violation that occurred in an open council meeting in a public place.   It was an abuse of power by an abusive politician who seems more skilled at covering up scandals such as Project Truth (Mayor Kilger was MP during that period) than governing.    Many feel that Mayor Kilger owes the people of Cornwall an apology, an apology to the police for abusing the Panic button, and myself personally for being such an utter thin skinned coward.

Will Mayor Kilger be held accountable for his actions including his conflict of interest issues?  Will Councilor Gardiner be charged for Mischief and damaging personal property.    And will both do the right thing and resign and stop costing taxpayer’s money that they just can’t afford?

  1. Holly Gilles Latour at his best being the scum bag he really is. Read this, this off his website Team Cornwall , something he is the chair of.

Sponsored by Team Cornwall, the “Ambassador of the Year” award will recognize the efforts of an individual who goes out of his or her way to promote Cornwall.

The best part, his own quote…………“There are so many people that act as goodwill ambassadors without realizing it,” said Gilles Latour, Chair of Team Cornwall. “I think this award fits in very nicely with the spirit of recognizing excellence within our community.”

Talk about a true snake, this guy wins his own award. Tell me something stinks about this.

  2. Author

Yes Dennis. Hope to see you there and bring your camera!

  3. Author

Tom I double dare them to put that charge in writing 🙂

  4. What an ox-i-moronic situation we have here.

  5. Jamie do you see the black uniforms on CORNWALL’S BARNEY FIFE POLICE those black uniforms are no longer our regular police and if you listen to Alex Jones you will know about that.

Canada is finished Jamie and you are a good man indeed. Those cops are not working for Canada anymore. Everything is corrupted nowadays. Kilger is the most corrupted person I have ever seen. Gardner should be charged indeed. Get rid of Gardner and the whole gang except for André Rivette and Maurice Dupelle. Gardner has a horrible face including that ugly snout Samson. Samson looks like a hog in a pen.

  6. History has shown that Gardiner is too bullish to have the guts to resign. No, he’ll see everyone who opposes HIM in hell first. His face and eyes sure look fearsome…the fear of something for sure. Watch out for that heart attack Syd.

  7. Hmmm. Almost 48 hrs since bad things happened to good people attending Monday’s council meeting. Naughty lawbreakers Kilger and Syd must be nail-biting at this point. Surely officer Sarah should be close to laying the charge. Obviously the signs aren’t being returned.

  8. I support Kilger on this one. As head of Council… he has the right to request you removed for non-professional clothing, and if that request is not met… he has full rights to have you escorted out. He is after all sworn in as Mayor and a Peace Officer…

You say you are simply covering the news… but Jamie… does a professional media owner wear a t-shirt depicting the mayor on a milk carton or does he dress professionally in a public forum?

I appreciate the work you do… in terms of covering and exposing the news that may have gone unnoticed in other media outlets.

Your intentions seem to be ill seeded; however.

  9. Jamie I had such a good laugh at the portrayal of Syd Gardner that I almost fell off my chair. LOL LOL. That is a good one with that awful mean face of his. LOL LOL.

Jamie have you ever looked at the two big brown or black colored sticks at the back of Pres. Obama or Nancy Pelosi? Do you know what those sticks stand for? Ask yourself what the meaning of “corporations in with the government” you are a very educated and intelligent man don’t say it here in the blog ok but you should know the answer to that question. I used to see those symbols on the American 10 cents. You said something about this is not China or the US – Jamie the entire world is going that way.

I will give you names where I want you to listen to and listen to everyone and not just one: William (Bill) Cooper, Eustace Mullins, Jack Otto, Father Paul Kramer on Fatima and other topics that will answer a lot of things for you and there is Father Gruner and there are many others. All these people will tell you what is going on and the Virgin Mary told the children about the future back in 1917. It is almost 100 years ago that the message was told. Those children were put in jail in Fatima when the authorities heard that. The mayor of the town as well as the cops were Masons. I have so much that I can tell you and much more names that I can name and maybe your parents can tell you what went on in Europe when they lived there. You know who I mean. If you listen to today’s show on AJ there is a woman speaking about Romania where she lived and how she got to the US and made something out of herself. She was a lawyer back in Romania and had to learn the language and went back to school and became a lawyer. Canadians know nothing about the hardships – my in-laws went through hell on earth in Lebanon’s civil war and my eldest sister in law was shot in the leg and had cancer and is also diabetic today. My other sister in law is in poor health as well and everyone went through hell on earth.

You are not someone’s goy as you said in another blog you are very intelligent and don’t let anyone say that to you. You are a person and a very good one but be on your guard. I gave you some things to investigate and to know that nobody is free in this world and whatever happens in Canada, the US or wherever there is no place to run anymore it is going into a “One World Government” and not a democratic one at all. We are going to go or already in a North American Union. This is not hearsay or a joke or anything like that we have been sold out for some time now. You have to know history and history always repeats itself. I think that you are intelligent to read between my lines. I may laugh my head off and at the same time I am very worried about you and don’t rock the boat too much or do an Alex Jones number on the BARNEY FIFE POLICE DEPARTMENT since it is no longer a joking matter. If your parents are still alive they can tell you plenty of what went on overseas. Take care my friend and stay well.

  10. Pastor Tom Newton you are right about what you said about “freedom” and I have been looking into all this for a long time now. I am trying to tell Jamie and all of you without coming out with the words because I don’t want Jamie or anyone in trouble but when you listen to alternative news you will hear more from the US since they do have a great deal more freedom than we do at the moment but not for long. Obama wants to take over the internet where we can no longer communicate or anything and I don’t know how that is going to pan out but there is a great deal to read and listen to.

I don’t want to scare anyone and if you listen to Alex you will be mighty afraid because he does sell fear. A person who listens to him has to be very healthy in mind to put up with him. Not everything he says is true and you have to be able to decifer truth from fiction. He does get his info from agents and he has family who are agents and is a multi millionaire with lots of clout and known in “Hollyweird.”

  11. @Jules. I can not help but read all of the comments and I mean alllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll of the comments you write, at what point do you realize it serves not one purpose, the more you write the more turned off people are becoming to this cause, seriously, help by being silent.

As for Jamie, the shirt thing may have been funny but not the best move on your part, you should have taken it off and been the bigger guy in this battle. I do agree the Mayor is guilty but let his own ego do him in. It will come, it always does no matter who you are.

  12. Jules….your listening or researching wayyyy too many “conspiracy theories”.
Get real woman and get a life before you get a heart attack with all the stress your causing to yourself!

  13. Note the references to “DETENTION”, “ARBITRARY” and right “TO BE INFORMED PROMPTLY OF THE REASONS” in this extract from the “Charter Of Rights”…

    Legal Rights
Marginal note:Life, liberty and security of person
    7. Everyone has the right to …security of the person and the right not to be deprived thereof except in accordance with the principles of fundamental justice.

    Marginal note:Search or seizure
    8. Everyone has the right to be secure against unreasonable search or seizure.

    Marginal note:Detention or imprisonment
    9. Everyone has the right not to be arbitrarily detained or imprisoned.

    Marginal note:Arrest or detention
    10. Everyone has the right on arrest or detention

    (b) to retain and instruct counsel without delay and to be informed of that right; and

    (c) to have the validity of the detention determined by way of habeas corpus and to be released if the detention is not lawful.

  14. Jamie,
I regret I was out of country this past week.
I will join you next time.

(In the meantime, I would like to see a poll of what candidates from the last election that people would vote for now.)

  15. Jamie, you’ve heard GOOD GARB advice. Decorum says an awful lot about professionalism, just as the first 10 seconds szes up a person quite well.

Play Mr. Dress Up with a plain shirt and co-ordinating tie if you are not outright banned for future meetings.

You need the bravado without the gusto my friend or you will loss a lot of your support here too. Remember, we are mostly supportive. Please take our suggestions as supportive for now.

  16. Jason is perhaps a narcissist. His gym is full of brain dead dieters. What his vitamin-enriched brain believes is fiction or beaver-fatigue. And the rest is Somatic cells (Puss) poisoning his hypothalamus. Son.

  17. I must say that since I know a few of these councillors personally that I am very disappointed in their performance.
What does the mayor hold over you ????
Some of you could well have been the next mayor but unfortunately ..after these few months of wilfully participating in a comic display of lack of consideration for the taxpayers I feel you all are doomed .
Andre is to be commended .at least he has some guts .!!
And he is one of the elected officials that are SUPPOSE to do best for the taxpayers .. that I DO NOT KNOW personally
At least he is doing his job and can accept his paycheck without feeling guilty
I realize that you all meant well when you were elected but sadly you all fell to whims and agenda of a dictator .. We might as well live in Uganda .!!!!

  18. ASk Bernadette how her boss at the legal aid office …
Etienne St-aubin…ask her how he treats people….He’s the {MODERATED}….Injustice on the part of Bernadette though…she works for the right man….she’s just a lawyer and their all the same…..Gold diggers….bashers of the abused….bashers of the abused…bashers of the abused…bashers of the abused ..bashers of the abused…You should be ashamed of yourself Bernie Baby….ask Bob if he remembers the T-shirts that Dick Nadeau and his friends wore…..I still have it….Corruption at its finest….The boys club….their just as bad as the peadophiles themselves…..rapers of justice….! and bashers of the innocent…

  19. Just a word of advice to my friends on council ….You had better adjust your finances because THIS paycheck is about to END !!!!!!

  20. I like Simon’s idea of a poll. Each media should have the same one for appropriate bias’s to average out. That would show a real and fair message I would think.

Not everyone reads CFN. Not everyone reads S.F. or listens to the local radio. Seaway News goes outside of Cornwall and often goes from the mail to the garbage can but does have tid bits now and then……….plus the weekly grocery ads.

List the Mayor and each councillor and ask for submissions of who they would like to ‘nominate’ as trusted NRW counciiors…not that they would run……just to see who democracy would like to see enter…….worth a try.

  21. The actions that were shown at the city hall was not/is not appreciated by the person on city council.
That person has shown, that he has NO respect for the citizens of cornwall nor the remaining council.
It was a very selfish, childlike action on his part and an even bad action on the rest of the council.
On the mayors part, since he is the “it” person on the council, the mayor, automatically is fully responsible for the actions of his “disciples”.
Therefore, he ( the mayor) should be removed from his position immediately.
If the mayor, will NOT remove himself from action, It shows that there is a Major problem in CORNWALL ELITE GROUP.
As far as the indivivual is concerned, he too should be relieved of duties and not be in that position evermore.

  22. Syd is a mayor want-a-be.

Glen may also aspire to be our mayor as well. He does have a lot of connections and has been more involved in committee work in town than anybody else I know of. Opinionated though he may be he would get much city support.

Andre doesn’t indicate a desire for the high office or perhaps not even a council seat again. Let’s hope that isn’t so.

Mark M. sure has garnered appreciation and support since his loss to Bob K. for mayor. Hopefully he will reconsider and run again.

Unless someone else ‘out of the blue’ comes in with the populous AND intellect for the job I see a Glen/Mark duke out. God help us if Bob K. or a Syd wanna be actually get back into the mix.

I think the money men would need input too as having political connects and corporate understandings help in many ways when working with Prov./Fed’s. as well.

Early to say or tell…..any other thoughts?

  23. André mentioned before about retiring and said something that his son wants to run. I don’t know if that is official but it is something that he was thinking about. André is excellent at what he does and I don’t think that he will take the leadership as mayor but if he returns I think that he will do the same great job that he has always done.

I was away for some time from CFN and I have a question. I haven’t seen that Adams woman since I came back and I thought that she was going to take Fitzy’s place as CEO. Did she go back to Toronto or what? I haven’t seen her among the lot.

As for Jamie I would support him no matter what. I don’t care if Jamie came in with a clown outfit or a suit Jamie is very intelligent and is trying his best to expose the corruption going on in town. Kilger and his “clique” feel that they own Cornwall and that is easily seen and such a pompous snob. Kilger was much better in past years and my God how he changed for the worst.

  24. I have to laugh at this cartoon display that Jamie made of Syd Gardner and I was just thinking that if Syd were not sitting in council he may have been one of those bikers that belong to some biker gang. LOL LOL. This is too funny.

All there are around that council table are very old people and only one or two are young. The old people will follow that mayor because they are mesmorized under him and do as he says. That is not democracy at all.

  25. they are biggots….
and will try to impress you….its time for Syd and Bobbies to ” Pass the Puck”……..swallow what they have given to the people for so long……… can’t understand what there doing there….I feel like i live in the United States. Border guard bullies looking like Arnold….Cawli forni…aaaahhhh…….!….I could tell you so much about cornwall corruption…i’m on overload….i’m just glad that my descision to completely vacate the ” TOWN”…completely…..I testified at the inquiery concerning The Cornwall Police…and they we’re at my front door..watching me….intimidating me …cause my testimony concerned this officer ….they are scary people …I sadly decided to vacate and i urge anyone who is abused by these monguers to stand up for what’s right …..Cornwall is already a place of negative values and run by religions all fighting for their own group of imaginary celestial friends…….It will never stand up on its own……..the people have been “…Zombied”…..and don’t care……to vote out Loosers…..
These Councell members who act out and damage people’s property….He needs to apologize to the people ..it needs to be written and in the city papers…..and he should stand down…he can’t do it with dignity cause he has none….You can’t get justice in Cornwall…..When will people learn this fact…..Now cause i’ve spoken my mind and feelings about them….you should see how they treat me …..Syd Vicious and his penetrating eyes….and dirty looks……The dunlopp’s had to leave …right?…well ..what does that tell you ….Are you all simply just ignorant to how they were treated here in the
    Friendly Peadophile City….

  26. They had better bring a good sunscreen with them when they pass …cause they’re gona need it where their going!….

  27. Nugget you are right about it is dangerous for me to have a heart attack. At my age anything can happen. LOL LOL.

  28. Marc Carrière you are absolutely right and yes the Dunlops had to leave or else they would have been murdered. I read plenty Marc and everyone and have been following what was going on since that happened and was in shock. I always knew that there was corruption but never as bad as what it has become.

Marc I had to make that move years ago and not for the same reason that you are making but when it came time a year ago wondering where to move next we thought about Cornwall and then backed off. If feel for the people who live in Cornwall but like you said that they don’t vote them out. I will tell you all one more thing folks and that is “they steal the votes” and that is one of the reasons why we have the same crooks back in year after year. Another there are no new people who present themselves and in my opinion people are “bullyed” if they come forward to run like what happened to that presidential candidate “Pero” in the US.

  29. Marc and Jules, you are both right but the law squeezed hard to protect the guilty so the innocent got railroaded, but it’s over because those that can won’t and those that could can’t because they are now dead. What I know is too late to mean anything at this stage, but it would open a few eyes too.

The whole religious and political sphere circled the wagons in the past with the inquiry and they are doing it again on council. If you thought you would lose your mail and other ‘perks’ you would probably circle the leader too or end up like Leslie O. even Andre, trying to break that circle……look what happens.

  30. Jamie what Marc Carrière mentioned is absolutely right. When we went to live in Cornwall back in the early 90’s era we had neighbors who would spill out what was going on back then. They told us that if we ever needed a lawyer not to get one in Cornwall because there is no justice and that they are all connected. Another thing is that if you get against the cops or if they have anything on you for something they will follow you and harrass you and your family. I am telling this to you because you are in the media and you have become a prominent figure and we all know the living hell that the Dunlops have gone through and now you are reading about what is happening to Marc. This is all very true indeed.

About the US border guards and what is happening in the US is all very true. I hear what is going on and many of our Canadians are badly treated at the border. I have heard of a few who were jailed just for answering back to them.

I said that we are not living in a free world anymore and that is true and I will now come out with the word that is starting to happen: government + corporations = fascism. Those sticks at the back of Obama is called “fasci” and I used to see it on the US dimes. I wanted Jamie to know about this and to know that Canada is no longer free. Those of us who are following all this BS know fully well what is going on. Be very careful Jamie even here in Ottawa the cops are mighty bad and much worse than those of Cornwall. There is no fooling around here with Ottawa’s cops they are mighty brutal. Cornwall’s Barney Fife gang are bad enough but this gang takes the cake. We support you and want the best for you but be very careful.

  31. Yes Duckers you are absolutely right indeed. I don’t trust Kilger and after being a politician here in Ottawa he has some clout and who knows what harm he can do. I stand behind what you said. Yes I know that you and many know what has gone on in Cornwall and still going on and you dare not breathe a word. I know that this man is very dangerous and I just wrote a kind of lengthy blog to Jamie and others. I want everyone to be safe. My husband and I were talking a bit about Cornwall a few weeks ago and he said something that really stuck in me and yes I won’t say it here but Kilger has connections not just to Ottawa and yes very dangerous. I want all of you to be well and be very careful. André and Leslie are good people and I knew André since elementary school – he is somewhat older than me but a very good person and a good family – a humougous family and I respect them.

  32. First off, I respect your right to your wrong opinions. However you are all a bunch of spoiled cyber bulllies. What would you do if the mayor and councillors in the next election left their election signs on your front porch or in your house? You would probably treat it like garbage and destroy it. How is this any different then what the council did to your garbage? oops I mean precious signs. Give me a break. If you put your attention to a real issue like trying to abolish the Senate, then I would back you 100%. Remember “let he who has not sinned cast the first stone”.

  33. Clyde Didit – Quote – First off, I respect your right to your wrong opinions.

Back to you Clyde. You can’t justify a wrong by expressing another wrong. That is like passing the buck. We have too much of that right here already. It’s called narcissism.

Thanks but no thanks, though you too are entitled to your wrong opinion, to repeat.

  34. I second that Duckers thank you.

“When people fear their government there is tyranny, but when government fears the people there is liberty.”

    Thomas Jefferson

The same thing holds true even with the local governments and in Cornwall’s local government there is tyranny because too many people do not stand up to them and they do everything they can to hurt the little people and those are the middle and working classes that they squash under their dirty feet. Stand up for yourselves people.

As for the signs I would have loved to pick up one of those signs if there was a board attached and nailed that SOB Gardner over the head and do away with him. Unfortunately you would all be visiting me in the clink. Something has to be done with these tyrants and the sooner the better we can send them all packing.

  35. Shortly after Joseph Aloisius Ratzinger (aka Benedict XVI) was elected Pope it was noted that he had been a member of the Hitler Youth during WWII. A comment was made at the time that if a former Hitler Youth was the choice of the papal conclave, what kinds of skeletons did other candidates have in their closets. (In fairness it should be noted that he was conscripted by the Nazi regime, and had no say in the matter)

But, I mention this little story because, as I look around at our Senate and see the crooks, thieves, bagmen and ne’er do wells that rest their lazy arses in the “Red Chamber”, I wonder how it was that Bob Kilger after his years of catching farts on the Hill, never got an abassadorial post, a Senate appointment, or even the lowliest judgeship when Cornwall voters showed him the door (in favour of the greatest fart catcher of them all, Guy Lauzon).

What are the skeletons in Bob Kilger’s closet??

BTW — Anyone with information on the following items, feel free to drop a line to vote@cogeco.ca (anonymity assured)…

    Item 1.
It seems a former Liberal MP, had problems with Revenue Canada when his “roommate” in Ottawa tried to claim the MP’s taxpayer funded residence as hers, for a deduction at tax time.

    Item 2.
It seems a former Liberal MP was “loaned” a vacant 2nd Street E apartment (thanks to a friendly realtor handling the listing) when the former MP was kicked off the couch by his long wronged wife.

    Item 3.
It seems some favours were later returned to a friendly realtor by a local mayor during deliberations for an arena site.

    Item 4.
Local experienced volunteer firefighters were passed over for hiring while a mayor’s unemployed son (from out of town) was chosen instead.

  36. Corruption, corruption, corruption……where will it all end?

  37. To Clyde Didit. You sir need to know that a home is private property not public property.( Invitation to come in would be required.) So if these individuals did leave their signs on the porch or house,(without said invitation) they have committed several violations of the law. Some minor some criminal. Either way in your home/yard, you have the right to get rid of the garbage that is left. From what I see, the garbage needs to be taken out.

  38. “When people fear their government there is tyranny, but when government fears the people there is liberty.”

    Thomas Jefferson

Why do Canadians run to the American ideals for courage? That’s right we, Canadians waited patiently for our liberty, not like those Rebels across the boarder! I know a true Canadian, born in Canada, lived all his life in Canada, and this is his evaluation of his fellow Canadians – “we are a bunch of ninnies, living in a ninny county”. Not very flattering

Change comes by people believing in a cause. This cause has to be more than comfort, luxury, and prosperity. The cause use to be patriotism, or even religion, but that is all gone now. As long as the average Canadian keeps receiving all those monthly checks in the mail, there will be no moving them off the sofa!

What about the cause of right and wrong? Sorry to say that is all relative in our day. So we are left as I mentioned above -“we are a bunch of ninnies, living in a ninny county”. I don’t think this saying originated from this one mentioned, but I think it sums up the lack of back bone in, not just in Canadians, but the West on the whole. If our ideals do not reach further than our own selfish desires, the are destined to doom!

Remember God is watching on. That doesn’t mean He is sitting back and doing nothing. Time and space would not be sufficient to explain all that is needed to understand God’s Sovereign works, but let me say this, He is looking for men, women, young people, boys and girls to stand up for truth, righteousness, and good of others. We can’t leave out God when it comes to defining these virtues; if we do, then God leaves us alone to own devices. Think of it, is that not what got us into this mess?

  39. Jamie=

Great picture of Syd Gardner that hair do looks good on
Syd . If the public can’t vote this guy out were doomed
    here in cornwall .

  40. Humourous Pictures and Cartoons have been in the Media since I can remember reading. I could not wait to open up the Standard Freeholder and get a good chuggle when I was a kid. So What is the Difference if it is on a Tee Shirt. Was the Mayor having a Grummy Day. A man with his Politicial Experince should be more on his game. It is a little part of Politics.

  41. Jamie,

I’m a little taken aback by you superimposing Sid Vicious’s profile of the Sex Pistols onto Syd Gardiner’s mugshot.

    Sid Vicious had tallent man!

Cannot say the same for Syd Vicious Gardiner though!

  42. What do you think folks…can you see a Jamie G. for council movement?

Gee, he could wear his Bob shirt to the formal kick-off reception. Yea, that’ll do it.

    Any other suggestions?

  43. I think Jamie acted unprofessionally in his exchange with the mayor, but Mayor Kilger truly acted childish.

The truly ‘Cornwall moment’ has got to be Syd Gardiner breaking the law, publicly and prior to city council meeting.
May I suggest a ‘Wanted’ t-shirt for Syd?

Up until now allegations of corruption were pretty obscure, but luckily for Jamie the lack of charges (thus far) are definetely putting things in perspective. Do all destruction of property investigations take this long?

  44. @what I see

You are so right! Kilger’s little hissy fit cost the taxpayer’s thousands. He himself is the only one responsible for that stupidity. When you are corrupt and hide things and you know that the REAL media CFN is getting closer to fully exposing him, well he is bound to be a bit testy and sensitive! Tell the truth Bob and get a backbone!

  45. It’s Mayor or nothing for Jamie. He would have to give up CFN for a real paycheck but Bob Kilgor will be looking for a job. Can you picture bare ass Bob with a Jamie t-shirt on?

  46. Hey jules, you state that council is hurting the middle and working class. If true then they are hurting themselves also. Most of the council are ex mill workers, store salespersons, restaurant managers, real estate salespersons. Not any upper class in the bunch that I am aware of. Just plain folks that worked hard in their other jobs. However if you don’t like this current bunch then don’t vote for them in the next election. Maybe you should run for council and if you are unlucky enough to get voted in, you would see it is a thankless job.

  47. Clyde Didit…
I think you are a b_m buddy of most on council or maybe even one of them. Upper class..would you like me to name them? Kilger, Clement, Grant, Thibault, Carr, Samson, Gardiner and MacDonald. They may not be upper class to you but they are the only ones screwing the lower class. And YES, I leave out Rivette, Dupelle and sometimes Murphy. You can call them what ever class you wish, but to me they are the only elected officials working for all classes. So Clyde, where do you fit in?

  48. Clyde I can’t vote for mayor nor council in the next election nor can I present myself because I am a Cornwallite living in Ottawa so I am way out of the boundaries. I am trying to wake up the people of Cornwall to what is going on and I know that those who post here are well awake.

Yes there are those around the council table who are not the elite but the Samson bunch are well to do like Kilger and they along with their clique like Licky and others like that are the ones who put the little people down. Those that you said are former mill workers are the clique – the Zombie clique of Kilger who cannot think for themselves nor make their own minds up. When one is a follower then nothing works – you have to think for yourself and if you are a follower in life you lose and that is in everything you do not just politics.
