DparkinsonDOMESTIC ASSAULT WITH WEAPON

 

Cornwall, ON – A 46-year-old Quebec man was arrested on June 26th, 2014 and charged with assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, mischief, uttering threats, assault and forcible confinement. It is alleged that on June 26th, 2014 the man held his ex-girlfriend against her will.  While with her he held her down and threatened her; he punched and slapped her. He then pulled out a knife and stabbed her leg and cut her forearm. As he was leaving he damaged the phone and then left the area. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The women was transported to hospital for none life threatening injuries. A warrant was requested for the arrest of the man and he was subsequently located in Montreal. He was transported to Cornwall where he remained in custody awaiting his bail hearing. His name was not released as it might identify the victim in the matter.

 

THREATS, BREACH

 

Cornwall, ON – A 25-year-old Cornwall man Carlisle Graham was charged with uttering threats and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace and a 24 –year-old Cornwall female Miranda Mertes was charged with assault with a weapon and breach of recognizance for failing to keep the peace. They were arrested on June 26th, 2014. It is alleged that on January 14, 2014 the man and woman were involved in a verbal argument with neighbours. During the argument Mertes threw a metal object at the neighbour while Graham threatened he would burn down their house.  They then left the area. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. Graham and Merts could not be located so a warrant for their arrest was requested. On June 26th, 2014 at approx 3:15 PM the warrants for both parties were executed. They were both released on an Officer in Charge Undertaking to appear in court on July 22, 2014.

 

THREATS, BREACH

 

Cornwall, ON – Ryan Boyle, 36 of Cornwall was arrested on June 26th, 2014 for breach of probation and utter threats. It is alleged that on June 26th, 2014 he got into an argument with a neighbour and threaded him. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released on an Officer in Charge Undertaking to appear in court on July 22, 2014.

 

 

BREACH

            Cornwall, ON – A 17-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on June 27th, 2014 at approx 235 am and charged with breach of recognizance relevant conditions not attend the area he was located near and  not be away from residence between the hours of the 10pm and 6am except in company of surety or father. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as per provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
