WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – Adam Lacoste-Marshall, 22 of St-Jerome, Quebec was arrested on July 16th, 2014 on the strength of outstanding warrants. It is alleged that on July 16th, 2014 police located the man at a Lauber Street address and took him into custody on the strength of warrants from Ottawa and Quebec services.
THEFT UNDER $5000, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – Kevin Simser of no fixed address was arrested on July16th, 2014 on the strength of outstanding warrants. He was also charged with theft under $5000 and breach of probation and a recognizance for failing to notify a change of address and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that on July 16th, 2014 the man attended a Ninth Street store and removed several cans of dog food making no attempts to pay for the items. Police were contacted and after a brief foot chase took the man into custody and charged him accordingly. During the investigation it was learned that the man was also wanted by Cornwall Community Police Service on outstanding warrants. He was transported to police headquarters and held for a bail hearing.
Cornwall, ON – Christopher Berry, 32 of Cornwall was arrested on July 16th, 2014 and charged with theft under $5000 and breach of probation and undertaking for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that on July 16th, 2014 the man attended a Brookdale Avenue store and removed razors making no attempts to pay for the items. The man was then approached by the Loss Prevention Officer and fled the scene. Police were contacted and located the man a short distance away. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
FRAUD, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – Shawna Chartrand, 22 of Cornwall was arrested on July 16th, 2014 and charged with two counts of fraud and two counts of breach of undertaking for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that on two separate occasions in April, 2014 the woman deposited empty envelopes into someone else’s account and withdrew funds. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On July 16th, 2014 the woman was spotted walking in the area of Montreal Road and Lawrence Street by a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
THEFT UNDER $5000
Cornwall, ON – Bruce Taylor, 39 of Cornwall was arrested on July 17th, 2014 and charged with theft under $5000. It is alleged that in the early morning hours of July 17th, 2014 the man was spotted leaving a business on Boundary Road in his vehicle by a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service. During a traffic stop it was learned that the man had removed copper wire from the business without permission. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on August 26th, 2014.
WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – Marisa Lupien, 36 of Cornwall was arrested on July 17th, 2014 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged that in the early morning hours of July 17th, 2014 police responded to a disturbance in the area of Montreal Road of Alice Street. On arrival they located the woman who was wanted on a warrant and took her into custody.

DRUGS SEIZED AT RIDE CHECK
(South Glengarry) – On July 16th, 2014 at approximately 3:00pm, SD&G OPP officers were conducting Reduce Impaired Drivers Everywhere (RIDE) checks at the intersection of County Road’s 18 and 20, South Glengarry Township. A check of one vehicle resulted in information received that a male passenger in the vehicle was in contravention of conditions from previous incidents. Officers also seized a small quantity of suspected marihuana and Hydromorphone pills.
Mathew BROWN (26) of Cornwall, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;
– Possession of a Controlled Substance (2 counts)
– Fail to Comply with Conditions (2 counts)
He was held in custody pending a court appearance (bail) in Cornwall.
THEFT FROM VEHICLES
(South Stormont) – Overnight (16-17Jul14), three (3) vehicles were entered while parked at a residence on Penny Lane, South Stormont Township. A quantity of cash and Canadian passports were removed.
An investigation continues.
