An Ontario travel website seems to think the province ends at Ottawa and Kingston. A quick visit to the website shows that Eastern Ontario has no section and that the Cornwall area is lumped into Ottawa with no areas highlighted on its map.
Eastern Ontario seems to be listed as “The Countryside”
Our region, which is home to some of the nicest river views, valleys, and historical sites simply has no support from the Provincial website.
Isn’t it about time that the province show some respect, but more importantly see our area get our fair support of our tax dollars? While the City of Ottawa is lovely and has many attractions does it make any sense to lop into some great rural and historical areas of the province with an Urban Centre?
The snub of course impacts tourism in the region. Could it be because of the colour of the ridings in this region?
This writer thinks not. What do you think dear CFN viewers? You can post your comments below.
The snub has been going on for years. Is this new? No. Will it ever change? I seriously doubt it.
I agree with Hugger.
