DOMESTIC INVESTIGATION
(South Dundas) – On February 12, 2016 at approximately 6:02pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a report of a domestic situation at a residence in the Village of Iroquois, South Dundas Township. Investigation indicated that an altercation between an adult male and his spouse resulted in the wellbeing of the female and pets in the home being threatened. Upon his arrest, the accused became confrontational with officers and uttered threats to them as well.
The 30-year-old from South Dundas Township is charged with;
– Utter Threats (3 counts)
– Assault a Peace Office
He was held in custody pending an appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.
FAIL TO REMAIN COLLISION
(North Glengarry) – On February 13, 2016 at approximately 11:17pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a collision on Bishop Street South in the Town of Alexandria, North Glengarry Township. Investigation indicated that an unknown vehicle had struck a pole and fled the scene. The collision caused the pole to break leaving electrical wires hanging. Information would suggest that the vehicle was silver in colour and would have sustained substantial damage.

EXCESSIVE SPEEDS
(Glengarry/Dundas) – Over the past weekend, SD&G OPP officers conducting speed measuring enforcement in Glengarry and Dundas Townships intercepted the following vehicles for traveling at excessive speeds. In all stops, the vehicle was impounded and the driver’s permit seized for seven (7) days in accordance to policy.
– February 11, 2016 – 7:20pm; vehicle stopped travelling 151km/h (100km/h zone) on Highway 401, South Glengarry Township. Female driver (22) from Hampstead, Quebec charged accordingly.
– February 13, 2016 – 2:46pm; vehicle stopped travelling 156km/h (100km/h zone) on Highway 401, South Glengarry Township. Male driver (28) from North York, Ontario charged accordingly.
– February 14, 2016 – 7:01am; vehicle stopped travelling 156km/h (100km/h zone) on Highway 401, South Glengarry Township. Male driver (24) from Etobicoke, Ontario charged accordingly.
– February 14, 2016 – 9:07am; vehicle stopped travelling 134km/h (80km/h zone) on County Road 31, North Dundas Township. Male driver (67) from North Dundas Township charged accordingly.
