Two OPP Gun Charges in Casselman Bar APRIL 30, 2016


OPP CHARGED TWO MALES WITH FIREARM RELATED OFFENCES
(EMBRUN, ON) – On April 29th 2016, Russell County Ontario Provincial Police responded to a report that two (2) men were in an altercation in a local bar in Casselman, ON.
As a result of the investigation, both men were arrested and charged:
Jean-Francois EMARD, aged 39, from Casselman, Ontario

  • Possession of loaded Prohibited or Restricted handgun, C.C. section 95(a)
  • Carrying a concealed weapon, C.C section 90
  • Obstruct Peace Officer, C.C. section 129(a)
  • Failure to comply with a Probation Order, C.C. section 162.2(4)
  • Knowledge of unauthorized possession of Firearm, C.C. section 92(1)

Pascal CARRIER, aged 47, from St Jean-Sur-Richelieu, Quebec

  • Possession of loaded Prohibited or Restricted handgun, C.C. section 95(a)
  • Obstruct Peace Officer, C.C. section 129(a)
  • Unauthorized Possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm, C.C. section 91(1)

They were held in custody to appear for a bail hearing and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in L’Orignal (ON) onMay 2nd, 2016.
