CORNWALL ONTARIO – As a result of ongoing investigations into the illegal drug activity five drug warrants were executed this morning in the city of Cornwall. The Cornwall Street Crime Unit executed the warrants with assistance of the Cornwall Emergency Response team, OPP, RCMP and CBSA. Several arrests have been made as well as seizure of quantity of illegal drugs.
During the execution of the warrants a member of the Cornwall Emergency Response Team sustained a laceration injury while gaining entry. He was transported to the Cornwall Community Hospital for medical treatment.
It should be noted that distraction devices were used and no shots were fired.
The investigations are ongoing and the names of those arrested will be released once they become available
Five locations in the city have been searched as part of an investigation into illegal drug activity.
One location was at 332-332A Alice Street where officers were heard rampaging through the duplex between Walton and First Streets.
