Cornwall Ontario – Back in the day when the mills were still open, Cornwall Ontario was a pungent place to be.
With the mills gone anti-social media is abuzz this morning locally with people complaining about a “plastic” type smell.
There have been no major fires, and people are reporting the smell in both the East and West ends of the city, from Boundary Road to near Long Sault.
This writer got a whiff of it this morning from Downtown Cornwall. It’s not pleasant and doesn’t smell like a simple brush fire.
There were reports of burning brush near the toxic city Dump, Big Ben, that has no membrane.
There has been no release from the City or fire or police services too date.
