(ROCKLAND, ON) On September 28, 2017, members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau – Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) executed a Search Warrant in the Village of Rockland. This was the result of an investigation by the Russell County OPP Community Street Crime Unit which began with complaints from members of the community.
Investigators seized cocaine, over 850 methamphetamine (speed) pills, cannabis marihuana, cannabis marihuana resin (hash), cannabis oil electronic cigarettes, psilocybin (magic mushrooms), codeine , drug trafficking equipment and over $3000 in cash was also seized. The total value of the seized drugs have an estimated street value of over $8000.
Josée Jubinville (44) from Rockland, On. was arrested on September 28, 2017 and charged with:
- Possession of a substance in Schedule 2 (cannabis marihuana) for the purpose of trafficking- under 3kg C.D.S.A. Section 5(2)
- Possession of a substance in Schedule 2 (cannabis marihuana resin) for the purpose of trafficking- under 3kg C.D.S.A. Section 5(2)
- Possession of a substance in Schedule 1 (methamphetamine) for the purpose of trafficking- C.D.S.A. Section 5(2)
- Possession of a substance in Schedule 1 (codeine) for the purpose of trafficking- C.D.S.A. Section 5(2)
- Possession of a substance in Schedule 3 (psilocybin) for the purpose of trafficking- C.D.S.A. Section 5(2)
- Possession of property obtained by crime in Canada under 5000$ -CC Section 353(1)(A)
Sebastien Charron (34) from Rockland, On. was arrested on September 28, 2017 and charged with:
- Possession of a substance in Schedule 2 (cannabis marihuana) for the purpose of trafficking- under 3kg C.D.S.A. Section 5(2)
- Possession of a substance in Schedule 2 (cannabis marihuana resin) for the purpose of trafficking- under 3kg C.D.S.A. Section 5(2)
- Possession of a substance in Schedule 1 (cocaine) for the purpose of trafficking- C.D.S.A. Section 5(2)
- Possession of a substance in Schedule 1 (methamphetamine) for the purpose of trafficking- C.D.S.A. Section 5(2)
- Possession of a substance in Schedule 1 (codeine) for the purpose of trafficking- C.D.S.A. Section 5(2)
- Possession of a substance in Schedule 3 (psilocybin) for the purpose of trafficking- C.D.S.A. Section 5(2)
- Possession of property obtained by crime in Canada under 5000$ -CC Section 353(1)(A)
Jubinville was held in custody and is scheduled to appear today at the Ontario Court of Justice in L’Orignal, (ON).
Charron was released on a promise to appear and will appear in the Ontario court of justice on in L’Orignal, (ON), on October 25, 2017.
