(LEEDS, ON.) – Members of the Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a driver that had struck a portion of a building at border services.
On November 5, 2017 at about 12:25 A.M Ontario Provincial Police officers in Leeds and the Thousand Islands Township attended Canada Border Services in Ivy Lea after reports of a transport driver colliding with a parking canopy. Investigation revealed that a 55 year old male from Quebec attempted to use the auto-route to exit border services instead of the transport-route. He made attempts to maneuver through tight turns in the parking area when he became lodged between the curb and canopy area tearing off a corner of the parking canopy and destroying an externally mounted camera.
