Lisa, that was an interesting and profoundly dishonestly self-serving letter . I don’t think too many people in the province think teachers are poorly compensated for their time. The Liberal government happily exchanged ever larger slices of the education dollars available in the budget for their support in successive election campaigns. The teachers unions cut a good series of deals for their members while the government used taxpayer money to buy support for themselves. In typical fashion, we don’t see the Ontario PC’s like Lisa MacLeod going after this……..no, they go after the working people of Ontario instead of their corrupt Liberal friends.
Going after some corrupt practices in Queen’s Park might cut a little too close to home for either side there.
It’s pretty obvious why the Ontario PC Party is a 3 time in a row loser at the polls with a fourth loss on the way.

Both the Liberals and the Conservatives are dirigiste parties. They both desire to control the open competitive free enterprise market. These laws are not voluntarily agreed upon by mutual consent of the trading agents. These laws are imposed upon free markets. We are loosing more of our economic freedoms. But people prefer to obey orders. So be it.
In fairness, is this letter from the Phil Miller that ran for the Libratarian Party in the 2011 election? Self serving letter?
The Conservatives have been saying since 2011 that cuts needs to across the board and picking off one group ( Doctors then Teachers) is counterproductive to moral etc. 400 billion debt and around 30 billion deficits call for some major change, and as I see it, holding your nose and voting for 115 was the way to go.
How come so much effort is not put into showing the scandals boondoggles and ineffectiveness of the Ontario Liberal Party under 9 years of McGuinty on our costs and negative bank account?
kids suffer in all this… that is a better way to put it.
Good article.
.
Darcy still has a grasp on that first week of his micro-economics course. He’s also “loosing” his freedom. Poor guy.
GREED, pure GREED, pure and SIMPLE. Can’t pay..screw em’ (everyone else) anyway.
BUT, ya know what, can’t blame em’……they’re just following our illustrious leaders aren’t they. Blotted salaries, blotted pensions, networking blotted contracts with family and friends. Not to mention millions upon millions skewered for votes in Mississauga and gaseous Oakville. Millions more wasted on lawyers to manage law suits for and against fiberal those buyouts for Hydro one and inefficiencies throughout the fibarial reign for the past 9 years.
Still and all, I think bill 115 has to stand……….it’s damn time one was taken by these misfit fibrals in the right finally ‘spend less’ government.
It took 13 to 16 billions dollars of unstoppable deficits to finally get the message out.
