(LEEDS, ON.) – Officers of the Leeds Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police educated a driver after the driver performed a stunt while passing a police car on Highway 401 in Leeds County.
On March 4, 2018 at about 2:30 AM officers were on mobile patrol on Highway 401, westbound in Elizabethtown-Kitley Township when a westbound car blew by the cruiser at 159 km/hr. The argumentative driver disagreed with the officer saying it was not possible as he was driving 98.
Turns out 98 MPH = 159 KMH.
The 40 year old Cornwall, Ontario man had his vehicle impounded for 7 days and his driver’s licence suspended. A future court date in Brockville was arranged for the man to answer to a stunt driving charge.
